THE THEORIES

Is it just me or are they slowly replacing Van Pelt with a brunette who looks quite similar... To Van Pelt

Im just happy to come here and read what fans have to other angles for Red John.
The imaginative power to how his exit should have been.
It's therapy to me because his conclusion was indeed a let down.

Thank You Guys.

Now that RJ is gone, what about change the name of this website in "www.whenwillJaneandLisbonhavesex.com"?

Just kidding, let's enjoy TheMentalist:)

This entire season is just so damn weird... I do realize Red John is dead & it seems we won't be getting any answers but still, it just feels like something about this season isn't right. Or maybe we're all just so used to having to look for twists everywhere that we can't accept there not being any! Either way I secretly hope they're kind of messing with us & have something EPIC planned!

I miss CBI. Mostly the conversations Cho and Rigsby were having.

I also feel sorry for the guy who played Ron. Even he didn't understand why he had a role in the show.

How disappointing.

What was once a truly unique series has now become a buddy-cop show.

Had they attempted a transition of this sort following the excellent (and satisfying) conclusion to Season three then they might have gotten away with it. But to see Jane and Lisbon giggling over a pair of socks and chortling about "how much trouble" they can cause is truly depressing.

Having watched this show for six years, bought the box-sets and thought deeply about the resolution of the Red John story, I cannot describe how disappointed I have been with this awful season. The whole "Tyger-Tyger" nonsense, the idiotic "list" plus the multiple unanswered questions leave me cold.

For the first time ever I was not looking forward to this episode.

Unless they pull something amazing out of their hat before the end of this season I suspect the show will be cancelled outright.

The whole things stinks of despair and lack of imagination.

Pretty much any contributer to this forum could have assembled a better story-line than the one they ran with.

Poor, poor show.

just my two cents: As much as many of you didn't like the Red John episode, I really think the way they close this series will be even worse.  Yeah, the RJ episode would have been disappointing series finale, but this new beginning thing doesnt seem to have enough steam.  The only ending I can think of that would please most fans would be Jane and Lisbon ending up together but I think most people on this website dont even care about that part of the Mentalist.  I just hope the show makes it to the end of the season so we have and ending that makes sense.  It feels like the way things are going they should have just made the RJ episode the series finale but explained the clues better and made it up to par with the other season finales
