I can't think of ANYTHING ELSE besides The Mentalist this week. From pushing school and a social life aside for the week to simply theorize and read, Heller has me centralizing my life on his show. And if you're feeling the same way, then you have to agree that Heller is a genius. I constantly read how people believe that they can do Heller's job better than him, but if he has you 100% captivated by this RJ culmination, then you really need to reevaluate your decision.

He has been able to keep this RJ thing alive for six years. He has been able to drop the most obvious and the most subtle clues. He even narrows the list down to 7 (I think we can safely assume that the list is not another red herring). After EVERYTHING HE GIVES US, we're still bringing the dead back as RJ (not saying there's anything wrong with that!!). The point is that HE KEEPS US GUESSING. So regardless of how "OBVIOUS" you think the character acting duplicitous as RJ is, HE'S NOT!

That's why Heller deserves a bit less criticism and a bit more praise (in my opinion).

P.S. This is not Bruno Heller lol.

I am happy that Thomas McAllister is highly likely Red John, my most favourite since season 1 episode two.
Look at this when PJ asks Thomas to stand up, he smiles. Just like he has planned something, the bomb.

Thomas stands with the most distance of the bomb, because he knows. Look his posture and his legs, as if he is about to escape.

Red John walks in the church with a gun on his right hand.

The reason why Red John got somehow distracted and got shot by Jane. Phobia.

He got shot, and his stunt man said a month ago that he was a stuntman of Thomas.

I'm happy that he is Red John.

  SPOILERS MAYBe??

I just watched the episode, and I will tell you right now that Bruno Heller deserves a standing ovation. WOW. JUST WOW. He tied up almost every loose end we have brought up on here, and he did it in a way that is smart and well planned, and I firmly believe he knew who RJ would be from the beginning. Can’t give enough credit to that man. DAMN.MASSIVE SPOILERS BELOW…………LAST CHANCE TO STOP………..All I am going to do is confirm a few thing most of you already know, but I will not say who RJ is, because honestly, you dont want me to. The reveal is that good. But I will say that….- the Harker description is pretty accurate
- The Tyger Tyger group has more than one single leader
- the RJ voice explanation is handled brilliantly, along with all the other red herrrings
- my resurrection theory was pretty spot on (remember 5/7 suspects are “dead” so that isnt much of a spoiler)
(my own personal spoiler below)- imagine all the suspect are alive…follow the actual clues throughout the series…and you can identify Red John. They didn’t use anything that wasn’t already in the show to tie up the loose ends, so all the info you need is there. I know that is easy to say in hindsight, but it really was right in front of us.

I bet that even after McAllister or Haffner is revealed as Red John on Sunday, you guys will still be posting that it's Brett bloody Partridge...

If you have checked the trailer for the next episode, you can see Jane chasing Red John. Now PAUSE the video at 0:17 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z77P7ebT0QI). You can see a bit of the hair and now if you compare that hairstyle to any of the suspects..... Its either McAllister or Smith. But by judging the character's height and body shape it has to be McAllister. Just take a look at few pics on Google by searching 'Xander Berkeley' (actor who plays McAllister), and you can see that he has had similiar hairstyles with the same colour matching Red John's hair.

NB. On Xander Berkeley's wikipedia page, if you check his filmography it says:
- ''The Mentalist (4 episodes, 2008-2013) – Sheriff Thomas McAllister/Red John''.

I'm sincerely hoping for a jaw dropping finale Sunday coming, but I can't shake the feeling Heller is trying to make TV history by being the first series to ever re-jump the proverbial shark for good measure.

(the first shark jump was when Red John came back from the "dead" after Jane killed Timothy Carter in the mall, IMO)

Now it looks like RJ is coming back from the "dead" again to try the jump one more time.

Will it be Bertram? The political bureaucrat who can't even play poker, suddenly turned cold, calculating killer who can outsmart Jane?  Hardly.

Partridge?  He's dead, despite them not showing his face in the last episode. Unless we assume Cho is totally incompetent and check his face off camera, after talking to Jane on the phone.

So who is Red John?

Rigby said the explosion in Jane's house was from military grade bomb and brought to the scene by RJ.

Cue Jaws theme for shark re-jump (da dum ... da dum ... da dum dum dum dum dum dum dum da dum dum dum dum dum dum dum ...)

Who was hunting deer in the previous episode with a military style rifle with night scope?

McAllister.

Who was supposedly burned to a crisp while separated WITH all the other survivors of the explosion (Bertram, Smith and Jane)?

McAllister.

As for Haffner and Stiles?  Well if the Mentalist doesn't get canceled, they could always raise Red John from the dead in true Lost meets Mentalist style (i.e. Stiles) for a THIRD time by having Stiles and Haffner magically escape to Equador.

Afterall, there is talk that Jane will be fleeing to South America.

And Equador (where Stiles was going) is in South America ... just sayin'.
