LATEST THEORIES

These FBI advertisements, also known as The Mentalist, are slowly melting my brain. The levels of propaganda on television are staggeringly obvious these days, and I remain troubled by this fact only because I know the stupid mob takes this shit serious, or at least lets the idiot box form opinions about big government being "necessary".
Why do we have to endure the FBI when CBI, a fictional agency of legal plunder, worked just fine? I mean, why does Cho and the other morons act so serious all the time? And, are we really supposed to find the stench of affirmative action interesting because it is carried on the shoulders of a once great, but entirely dead, series? Finally, does anyone really buy into the jisbon love affair as a possible hook to save this pathetic show/advertisement?
I think, and I am being serious, that I might enjoy this show more now if I were a jingoistic mental defective.

Rigsby is RJ

Episode 6 was very cool.
Classic Jane doing his thing and catching the killer with ease.
The tea cup from Lisbon was awesome too!
It brought back so many memories for me.

But i have a question..
Why a week after we learn of Abbots past do we get an episode
that dealt directly with someone who knew about Abbots past?
How convenient was that?
Who is pulling the strings at fbi?
Who out Abbott on this case with his friend from the past?
I forget her name but whos the Fbi directors name?
She is the woman who was on the phone with Minelli with Kirkland in her limo.
I remember last seasons finale, the case Jane completely fabricated was part of a old case dealing with the director of the fbi. I remember hearing her name

I think the writers will find a way to keep us stuck to the RJ plot, like an imitator or something like that, and we will be waiting for a logical answer forever.

Piece by piece the past is back... The cup of tea is back, the happiness is back, I bet that it is not the end...

my theory: He is alive. Red John will be back by killing Lisbon, Jane's new love. All those sweet episodes are important to explain the true evil of RJ, he is waiting until PJ is confident, is happy again, to restart the war by giving to PJ a new reason to fight against him...

Wonderful episode. Best of the season. (this season has been pretty cheesy so far, even last eppy was good but flawed and overrated) This eppy had me captivated the whole time. Yea, could've gone without the vega/wiley stuff but literally everything else was remarkable. And the end has a marvelous reveal. Now I truly appreciate something "minor" that happened in S06e07 "The Great Red Dragon". Looking forward to the last half of season 7. There have been many, highly, flawed epps since Red John's demise but there also have been some impressive ones indeed. And this episode highlights that. Well done, Simon Baker and the team. Truly Outstanding television indeed!

If any of you haven't listened to the Serial podcast yet, stop what you are doing...and go listen. Or maybe don't because it will consume you.

I have been reading the Fantomas books (thank you Quithat - whom I sure no longer comes here) and it made me think of an alternate and far better explanation of "He is Mar...".

"He is many" - not that Red John is many different people (a la BA) but, rather, Red John (one person) has many personas.  "McAllister" is simply a persona.  Think of it this way....McAllister isn't Red John.  Red John created the persona of McAllister in order to hide in plain site.

Still hoping that McA isn't Red John at all but the above rationale sits better with me than bringing the BA into things.
