You ever wonder why they used Simon Baker to voice Red John in 6x01 and Xander Berekely in 6x08. You'd think that if he really was gonna be Red John, then why the FUCK would you not have him voice Red John in the season 6 premiere. If they did, I may have appreciated the reveal more. Cuz the 4x24 and 6x01 Red John voice ARE EXACTLY THE SAME.

In response to the last theory....... Red john was a guy who killed a woman and child with no remorse at all. He killed them because some loser psychic insulted him on TV. Do you really think a guy like that would call 9-11 and beg?

You see, here's a good analogy. I'm sure many of us here have an image or feel like they know to a certain extant about the personality of others on this website. If any of us were to ever run into another one of us, we may very well be surprised at how different we are. Using this same analogy, plug into a scenario of a much bigger and grander circumstance. Red John commits his crimes when it's just him and his victim. And most of the time, he is fully prepared and has the upper hand while his victim is at his or her most vulnerable situation. Red John was never in a situation where there was any threat to his life. That thought never crossed his head. Now that there was, it's very possible that he would beg for his life since he was facing certain death.
Do you know the 10-episode show "The booth at the end"? The main character is Red John, quite thrilling and entertaining
in S07E01 when pike tells jane (i was offering her a life, a home, family if she wanted, a future) notice the look on jan's face and the music, this is red john's thing, it's almost what Lorelei said to jane in S04 so pike ether red john or connected to red john, also in S06 when red john painted the smiley face on lisbon's face in the same season pike comes to take lisbon from jane.
