ARGUMENTATION

Did anyone notice in "Red John's Rules" that when the assistant asked Partridge, "he (Red John) killed just recently didn't he?" Patridge then got very serious and replied with, "no, that was an internal issue.  Lorelei Martins was one of his own people; it doesn't count."

I found this to be a strange but also interesting response.  Red John thinks of himself as an artist.  He takes pride in his victims, and due to Lorelei digging into the Miranda issue, killed her because of that.  As she was one of his people, he might not have counted this.  If Partridge is indeed Red John, he would feel the need to correct the assistant when he brought up the fact that Red John had killed recently.  If he is not Red John, wouldn't a simple, "yes, he murdered one of his own people" suffice?

I've seen a lot of theories about Lorelei not actually being dead, BUT, for the sake of this idea, let's pretend she definitely is dead.  What do you all think of Patridge's statements?
