Lorelei maybe- all the time he spent with her? Would be interesting if Jane actually had a psychotic break at the end of 4- when he thought he was faking it.  Blake A was needed maybe cos it does seem logical that Red J would need people to collect all the info he required. But mcallister could have been shown as some sort of a puppet master- rather than an actual member

Showdown in red J ep should have been structured differently. maybe red J captured Jane and made him listen to all his plans?

Red J should not have been in an official position (sheriff or bertram's role). Official work involves a lot of paperwork- and somehow I do not see Red J doing any such work. Showman- paralleling Jane (Stiles) suits him better

The lead characters should have continued in their platonic way forever.
