THE THEORIES

in my eyes the real red john was timothy carter they should of ended the saga there that scene with him and jane at the end of season 3 was perfect  believe the reason they changed there minds was fear of cancellation and that they couldnt come up with a decent story to take over from it, dont get me wrong i like mcalister but prefered timothy carter anyone else agree???

Hey guys,

Still loving this site, loving the passion!

Some points on the series overall, the reveal and the future.

Series
- Love it
- Characters
- Episodes
- Emotions will never be taken away
- I love those experiences and love the memories
- Actors are brilliant
- I could on but we all know why we love this show

Finale
- I think I will enjoy it more as time goes on and I re-watch it a few times
- A lot of people are upset and I think the majority are that they (including me) found out who RJ was before the show aired so we wanted that shock feeling that we were never going to get once the mystery was gone
- I'm annoyed that a lot of the questions aren't answered but I'm starting to think the whole point about RJ was the mystery and the things we make up in our head and not necessarily the answers we get
- PJ not getting answers or wanting answers from RJ meant that he didn't care, he wasn't smarter than him, he was vile and didn't deserve his moment to confess. Imagine how you'd feel if your wife and child were murdered. Revenge is the first thing on the mind, not understanding. Plus PJ had years of understanding.
- It shouldn't be a personal attack on Heller. He is more in the mind of PJ and RJ than we are.
- I agree the end of Season 3 was great but come on, 3 seasons wouldn't have been enough. How good have the last 2 and a bit seasons been! I think it was either episode 5 or 6 of this season, I have never been so excited, so scared and so happy watching a TV show.
- The last point is I think time will give more definite and less-emotional answers to what we all expected from the RJ finale. FWIW I picked Brett Partridge early in the show but I didn't want to be right, I loved the mystery and didn't care "who it was" just what he represented to the show and PJ. I just wish I didn't know who RJ was before the show aired.

Future
- Simon Baker has been so good that I've loved every episode because of his portrayal of a brilliant character. I think it solely up to him (and obviously the writing) to carry this show.
- I'm worried about new characters, that basically means a new show, I don't want a new show!
- If every week is in a new place I'm not keen on that. Nor the fact that it may become more about the effect on Patrick. I don't want a passionate, driven, fast-paced show becoming some loved up, emotion-fest of boredom!
- It may sound boring but this show needs to get back to solving crimes and creating new tricks, new ways for people to die, new ways for crimes to be solved & then getting PJ and TL together.

Last comment, which will be a question, should they introduce a new enemy? I'm not sure, need more time to think on that.

Thanks for reading. Love this site, love everyone's passion and most of all love the show!

Cheers

Dears,

I know how disappointing the events turns into, I my self also thought RJ will surely be Partridge but he wasn't and I think this is the beauty of it because most of the folks here and there thought Partridge is RJ and the writer prove us wrong. Now let's move on and see what the upcoming episode will reveal because I think some facts about why McAllister is RJ will be further proven to us.

I've a couple of questions which I think worth good answers:

1. How McAllister knows about Jane's list of suspects even before Jane did?
2. That woman in the church, the one tried to kill Jane, Who was she?
3. Jane already knows that McAllister isn't dead and he is RJ and he will meet with him in the church, that's why Jane carried a pigeon with him and show it to McAllister. How did Jane knows that?

After my feelings of anger, betrayal, disappointment & frustration went away I took a step back, and thought about some things ... before you read remember that we know almost as fact that Red John has previously sought out Patrick through other people, smiley faces & telephones. For example: Lorelei Martins, the Red John proxy in "Strawberries & Cream II", countless murders (smiley faces), the limousine call, the call while painting Lisbon's face & the ONE time he went to Patrick in person Patrick was helplessly wrapped up on a chair and Red John wore a robe and a mask.

In "The Grest Red Dragon" episode Gale Bertrum looks at the TV while he is on the run in the bar when Patrick reveals to the press that he is Red John and he has a very specific face ... know what that face is ... "Aw hell here we go I have to play Red John" ... stab stab stab stab. Like it is an assumed duty by the loyal high up foot soldiers of the Blake Association.

In the "Red John" episode the Sheriff uses the RJ voice. He did but Gale Bertrum said on the phone ...

"Hello Patrick, I don't have to use a funny voice right? You know who this is" ...

Playing Red John ... he thinks he is supposed to play Red John ... another line by Gale Bertrum

"Yeah but if we talked on the phone then you probably wouldn't have come to meet me would you? ... and I was told to call you, tell you THE GAMES OVER and arrange a meeting"

Obviously Bertrum was given different instructions as he immediately says in the church that he is not Red John. He almost seems relieved and thinking he is going to live ... dummy "Heeeeeyyyy"

You mean to tell me Red John's plan was to have someone else be Red John? Gale Bertrum seemed to think so originally ... In case you didn't notice he was told to say "The games over" ... A member of the Blake Association was told to say "the games over". You might say ... yeah Red John shows up himself, kills Bertrum the lowly foot soldier and says "Games over I won" himself  ... Absolutely not ...

Enter Red John proxy Sheriff Thomas McAllister ... a recurring theme and a proven method utilized by Red John

McAllister is sent by Red John to be an actor just like the man in "Strawberries & Cream II". Just like the man in the mall, being so convincing and telling Jane what his daughter's hair smells like McAllister is convincing and uses the voice and expresses some other information ..... then ....

McAllister gets surprised by a bird (anybody would in that situation), gets shot, gets scared, runs for his life through houses & glass (messy as all hell), calls 911, begs for his life and says he has real psychic powers in one last attempt to save his life ... not Red John (I kind of felt bad for McAllister actually ... all scared in his last breath trying to beg for mercy from Patrick).

You mean to tell me that was Red John? The guy who was chillin in Bertrum's office with Bertrum and Reede Smith chit chatting with two guys he doesn't respect enough to keep alive? That was the manipulative master mind that never exposes himself to Patrick unless Patrick picks the place and bring a gun?

The Mall: Planned location that Patrick brings a gun to in anticipation of Red John
The Man: Seeks out the mall by choice as a Red John proxy (instructed by Red John), proves he is RJ & gets killed

The Church: Planned location that Patrick brings a gun to in anticipation of Red John
Sheriff McAllister: Seeks out the mall by choice as a Red John proxy (instructed by Red John), proves he is RJ & gets killed

Red John is a neat, organized, manipulative, criminal mastermind and he would never put himself at risk by chosing to go to a place that Patrick knew about first and then get killed. Patrick has never actually caught Red John OR his proxies he has been sought out in person by ONLY Red John proxies.

Red John is doing two things

1. Protecting himself - he is not stupid as both proxies appeared to be (somewhat) but they were loyal to Red John and very good actors.
2. Turning Jane into a serial killer - His manipulations take on different kinds of genius with a man like Patrick Jane. He wants to be friends with him ... he could have killed him at any time but instead he sends loyal proxy actors to Patrick and before you know it Patrick adds to his vengeful murderous spree

Hit Green if you plan on seeing another smiley face sometime soon
Hit Red if you think Bruno just whiffed on the most pivotal episode of his masterpiece

Hello.

For the people who have also watched the Death Note:

Our (no more?) favorite show should have ended in the end of season 3 exactly like how the Death Note should have ended when one of the characters (you know who) dies in the Death Note.

I like so much to compare the pairs L-Kira, Jane-Red John, Batman-Joker.

Grabbing this opportunity are their any other show, anime or whatever which gives another pair of characters like them and I am not aware of? I can only imagine that if House had an enemy it would fit in this category. But House's enemy is just himself...

Thank you.
