Hey guys

Seeing as this Sunday we finally come to the end of the Red John journey I thought I'd do a quick theory as to how the writers may still catch us out.  I doubt it though, and I must say the way thing turned out so far has been quite disappointing.  But lets do a final roundup of the last few episodes.

In a previous post I took a look at the GPS trackers in the first episode of season 6 and proved that apart from Partridge, whom I was disappointed to see dead in episode 7, Gale Bertram was the closest to the scene where Partridge died, which was about 16 minutes away.

Now once again, we find that one person is being made to seem like an obvious Red John, which is Bertram. He's the only one of the 7 who is still alive apart from Reede Smith, yet Reede Smith seems to not be Red John. He seems too weak. Gale has the tattoo he murdered a bartender and he is on the run because of the Blake Organization.  In the preview for episode 8 we see, who seems to be Bertram, join Patrick in the church and Patrick saying "Now you want to beg for mercy?" to him while he points the gun at him. Does this not strike you as a bit of an "easy conclusion"? I mean Patrick is in the church at the end of episode 7 so whoever that is comes in at the START of episode 8.  So is it really Red John?

I'm still curious about Bret Stiles. I know I know... He's "Dead", but as we've seen in a former Visualize episode, when a cop that is part of Visualize is asked to 'clean' the crime scene, they do so with no regard for their well being.  Also on numerous occasions we've heard that Bret communicates with Red John, so why is he acting all dumb in episode 6 when Jane wants to see his arm?  He must be clued up on this. 

Other things, they said that at the end of episode 1, there is a big clue. I thought it is the GPS tracker thing, or Partridge saying "Tyger Tyger", but others say that as well so why episode 1? Then I realized that Red John paints blood on Lisbon's face, the same way Stiles paints his disciples' faces in the ritual in episode 6.  

The three dots tattoo? As previously stated by another user, this could also be a mark made during chemo therapy, we know that Bret Stiles is dying, he said he does not have long, so could he have cancer and the three dots were a mark after getting treatment? Why did the writers feel we need to know he's dying, when they planned to kill him at the end of the episode in which they reveal that he will die soon? The information seems irrelevant when not taken into the Red John context.

Older clues include him knowing where Kristina Frye was. He helped PJ get Lorrelei out of prison, clearly Red John wanted her out to kill her so that's a coincidence.  He also semi-hypnotized Van Pelt which to me shows he has the same abilities as Patrick and also when he meets Patrick, they seem like they are jousting as they speak.

Toronto Mayor Rob Ford will be revealed as Red John ....

I am waiting for the response to these questions:

1. Red John is assumed to have always been 1 step ahead of PJ's team, always knowing what they will do next etc. Why on earth did he hire a private investigator to bug Cho in season 6, after 5 years of being 1 step ahead?
2. How was he 1 step ahead the previous years?
3. Why did PJ conclude that Red John had paid the PI to bug the team?
4. Why did RJ himself go to kill the PI and didnt send someone else? Why would RJ go kill the woman by himself making so many mistakes, revealing his tattoo, not checking if shes dead etc, why not send someone else from TT?
5. What was he wearing that made the 3 dot tattoo visible?
6. Why didn't he check her pulse to see if she's dead and let her semi dead? What if medics came there and saved her, wouldnt she be able to identify the man who paid her?
7. Why on earth does the Blake team have a sign (3 dot tatoo) visible? This is total nonsense. A criminal organization with a visible sign??? So that if 2-3 people of this organization are caught, the interrogators see the tatoo and everyone is found out through simple observation. This is the dumbest criminal organization in the history of mankind.
8. Why did Red John also have the tattoo? So that if some of them are caught, he is also put to question? The only thing that made a suspect out of sheriff and smith and Gale is that, upon interogation by PJ, they all had the tattoo. If RJ didnt have the tattoo, PJ would be clueless as to who RJ is. IT seems like total nonsense that RJ would mark himself with a mark of a criminal organization.
9. Why did RJ place a bomb in that house and risk his own life, when clearly PJ hadnt figured out who RJ is? If he had time and resources to place bomb in that house, why not have a sniper kill PJ through the window instead of risking his life with a bomb?
10. Why did't PJ bring Rosalinda Harker to the interrogation so that she identifies RJ?
11. How did RJ form the list before PJ?


I am waiting for serious answers to these questions in the next episode, not just a senseless hunt of RJ and that's it. Especially why on earth they would have a tattoo and RJ specifically would have a tattoo? it seems so so dumb. There are maybe more questions that I didn't have time to think, but if these are not explicitly answered, they all seem serious plot holes and render the seried illogical at best.

ok there are alot of amazing theorys on this site and i am here to share mine cause all i do is read lol here goes.

mcallister- no. simple. he is just too weak; you can see it in his eyes and that he doesnt fit the physical features. he works for red john tho.

stiles- no. he is old and i remember jane saying "you? you wouldnt hurt a fly." 

bertram- maybe. as i read its obvious it isnt him and he doesnt fit the physical features as well, but then again, bruno says fans will be disappointed on who is red john and for some reason bertram sticks out to me when bruno says that because maybe, just maybe, he wore a wig and faked all that stuff in front of that blind lady just so she couldnt expose him. 

kirkland- no. we all saw he get shot 6 times from the back, i doubt bruno would bring him back.

haffner- no. i dont think he is dead and i doubt he is red john or he works for red john. i dont think he has anything to do with red john. looks pretty innocent to me. but he has the hair of red johns describness and maybe the blind lady didnt know what color hair he had? how did she even know it was black hair? 

reede- no. he is going to die in episode 7. hes too weak to be red john.

partiridge- maybe. he is my top suspect because when lisbon went and saw him and he fell, then he died, she got up and then looked at the opened door (then again i wonder who opened that door) there was nothing behind her so whoever was behind her couldnt have pulled her from the back; there was nothing. im guessing partridge pulled her and had his way with her. 

lisbon- but then again, who remembers walter mashburn? IMDB put walter mashburn as red john and that got me thinking so much, lisbon slept with walter and maybe just maybe he is red john and he didnt want to hurt her? and maybe, she knows what happened that night. maybe lisbon is a part of tyger tyger.

i have some other things id like to share as well.

maybe red john isnt just one man? maybe he is a huge group of men who help him kill all the people he kills?

or maybe jane is in a mental institute and his co workers are his room mates and he became so obsessed with who killed his wife and daughter that he went crazy and landed in a mental institute. crazy hahaahah.

or maybe one of janes co workers; cho, wayne, grace or lisbon could be working for red john? who knows.

all in all i cant wait till i find out who red john is. 4 more days :D 

and patrick jane is one sexy motherfucker. 

I haven't seen anything discussing the 3 dots.  It seems like one of the dots appears bigger.  As with any of the pertinent clues, it would seem the dots have a specific meaning and thus, if one is bigger than the others that would also have signifcant meaning?

I've noticed a few people who have mentioned the episode where the nurse asked for Carmen Lee?  Well, I've just thought, that what if, yes, she was asking for Carmen Lee, but she actually meant it spelt differently.  Carmine Lee.  Why is this important?  Carmine is a shade of red!  I'm not joking, look it up!  Carmine is a deep red colour.. Like the colour of blood!

Could this be some kind of clue?

It may not be important but I just thought I'd mention it anyway!

RJ couldn't be Bertrum. Too obvious. The Blake Association is probably larger then just California. It would include the entire United States. My eye is on the new FBI Agent that showed up from Texas. Him or one of his crew members is up to something involving RJ.
