Dear Mr. Heller,

this is your lucky day! The reveal of Red John is the most crucial episode and will decide the fate of the series and all your staff. It will either bring back a great show to new heights or crash it into the ground. It will make you a TV legend or look like a complete retard.

I guess by now, you probably know what the leaked episode will be.

So just stop it. Halt the Sunday episode and remake it.

Give us a true evil genius as Red John, give us a long dialog with Jane, give us the James Bond moment of the villain making the mistake to explain himself before he wants to kill the hero. Give us a lot of smart talk and flashbacks explaining what was really going on. Show us some charisma of evil. Give us the story of Red John and what made him Red John. And give us a mentalist who was even smarter.

Thank you.

P.S.: How about printing fan t-shirts with the text "I followed Red John for 5 years and all I got was a pigeon"?

Kinda clever, by giving us a Fake one, every possible episode on Sunday Night will seem EPIC to us.

Good Job Heller.

Okay, Strawberries and Cream is honestly the best episode in all 6 seasons of this show. I understand how hard it most be to top it but I mean come on, McAllister?? I am so disapointed it's unreal, I would've rathered it if was someone we'd never seen before, but McAllister?
He has no charm whatsoever, he looked Patrick in the eye and told him he wasn't Red John, and its so out of the mentalist's usual work. Usual Patrick ends up surprising everyone and here, he really didn't.

This isnt the real episode is it? I mean honestly why would CBS encrypt a link to the episode on their website i doesnt make sense.

They didn't even try to remove it, and they put McAllister in the promo and it was obvious it was him. And now a video's leaked and they own this website, and everyone on it is going batshit crazy about it they would've done something to prevent more people from seeing it or something. But they didn't.

Although its unlikely this isn't the real one, I really hope it isn't and I'm really disappointed by this reveal.

Bruno Heller, you really played us. Fuck off now. Just end it on this note, don't drag this damned show on any longer, it started going wrong the second season 6 started.

Sorry, I feel like spamming, but almost every dialogue in the "leaked" episode is a parody.
Check this:
ABBOTT: "... your boyfriend..."
LISBON: "... he is not my boyfriend"
ABBOTT: "It's a damn shame".
[and she even managed not to laugh, what a great actress; btw he didn't manage]

Minutes later in the parking lot
VAN PELT: "Where' s Jane?"
LISBON: "Don't ask me"
CHO: "She just did".

Chapeau to the creators of the series. Not original anymore, but a very nice move and am easter eggs for the funs who can't wait till sunday for the real episode.

I said in my theory (#13061) I couldn't shake the feeling that Heller
was trying to make history by being the first TV series to ever re-jump
the proverbial shark.

Sadly my prediction was correct and oh how I wish I'd been wrong. :-(

Hopefully, I'm wrong about the South America angle the series might take if they want to try for a third shark jump.

I'd say spoiler alert, but honestly, how could I possibly spoil something so rotten?

To
anyone who hasn't watched the Mentalist before, do yourself a HUGE
favor and stop watching the series at the end of season 3.

Accept Timothy Carter as the real Red John. That ending was brilliant and the acting was superb.

Then pretend seasons 4 to 6 never even happened, or else a very long long dream Jane had while in jail.

This leaked ending (if we're not being punked by CBS) is beyond a stinker.

It's
almost like it was written by first year college students taking TV
writing as a bird course elective (pun intended).

Either that, or it's a gag
ending before the real ending (now that would be cool).

Can you imagine an experienced cop frisking Jane for a gun, finding it, but NOT finding a live pigeon on him?

Really ... think about it.

Can you imagine Red John's backup for his confrontation with Jane was a kindly church lady with a knife?

Neither can I, but somehow "professional" writers managed to generate that random thought.

The entire episode was so frustratingly cliché, I didn't know whether to laugh or throw my computer through the window.

If we're being punked by Heller and CBS, great, that would be worthy of the show.  I'll have a good laugh at being duped by an unbelievably stupid plot line with an über awful ending.

However, if this is the real ending to the Red John arc, the following snippet pretty much sums up Episode 8 for me:

Heller, Heller, burning bright,
In the forests of the night;
What immortal hand or eye,
Could frame thy stupid episode?

Did he who made "Strawberries and Cream" make thee?

NOTE: For the full poem check out theory #13711 by stopwriting

Cheers to everybody hoping we're just being punked by Heller and CBS!

OK then;

Green for it's a FAKE episode to put us off and Bruno Heller truly is a master Mentalist.

Red; It's the REAL deal and we should just stop watching now as they've just 'done a Lost' on us.
