Dear diary,

Today was a really great day. After spending 10 hours fulfilling my duties as local sheriff, I went out and used my ultra good looks and slick game to pick up yet another hottie to bang. Needless to say, she will now worship me forever and basically be my slave until called upon to die for me.

Today was another great day. Same old boring work, but After I went hunting and slayed 7 deer and 2 buffalo. Then I went back to the club and picked up another hottie to bang. This time I decided to stab her up and paint a giant face from her blood instead of adding her to my harem of sweet honeys.

Today not so good. Walked outside, saw a pigeon, shat my pants, and decided to call in sick.

Woke up, hunted, worked, banged hotties, killed carnies wifey and baby for fun, hunted some more.

Went to work today after about a weak of running from pigeons. Was ready to go back yesterday but caught a rerun of animaniacs and they showed the goodfeathers so I was paralyzed from the fear. Anyways, I had to take the day off from making the ladies worship me yo track down my boy Jared before he spilled the beans. Luckily he had a ho with him so I was able to get a quick piece before hacking them up. Get this, I decided to write a random line on the wall that will mislead everyone for years. HE IS MAR....not sure what it means, but that carnie will be doing back flips in his sleep.

Decided to spend the day sharpening my hacking skills so I can mess with that dirty red head that gave me the shake a couple years ago. Dirty hobag. Tomorrow I will get back to hunting, arresting speeders, banging skanks, killing other skanks, and making sure my harem is still brainwashed into thinking I'm awesome. Of course this depends on no pigeons being out!!

Got up early today, called in sick after seeing a turtle dove in the driveway. Not sure what I'll do today since hunting, banging, hypnotizing, killing, arresting are all off the table. I got an idea, maybe I can google bad cops. Yeah that's it, I'll find cops that have f'd up and somehow without explanation get them off then hold them hostage as my servants forever. I'll have FBI, cbi, local cops, homeland, and maybe even just one regular dude named Timothy in case I ever need a fall guy. This will be my new Sunday hobby since the rest of the week I have to be sheriff, bang chicks, kill other chicks, hack the web, and screw with the carnie.

Convinced another honey that I look younger than I am younger than I look and have short straight hair today. Yep, she'll die for me someday. I can't quite figure out why they can't get my description right.

Ran into the carnie again. Had a little fun with him. Of course all the fun went away when that damn bird buzzed me.

That was a close one. What was I thinking getting the same tattoo that I forced all of my minions to get. Good thing I had that flash bomb, real bomb, and spare body handy to get out of it. Decided to save the carnie again though. Might have to kill him soon. Will have to let him know how psychic I am though.

I'm not really sure what just happened. I think I'm dead. Not sure cuz I should have died a while ago but mustered up the ability to run a half marathon after being gut shot. Where'd it go wrong? Oh yeah, the damned pigeon!! Wait a minute.....none of this makes sense, I've been following this case for a while now, and something is off. I never went to no visualize farm. I don't have the game to pick up all them hotties. I didn't want that tattoo. I'm not psychic. I was never afraid of pigeons. I don't have the resources to blackmail hundreds of law officials. Is this a bad, poorly executed dream? Have I been played??

Jane said, that he excludes all the possible suspects, that he met only once. Why the hell are McAllister and Smith on the list?
And if he met them again offscreen, it doesen't count. 
I can't acceppt Red John being someone, who should not even bee on this list.

Below is a theory which allows for all of Heller's statements about Red John to be true.  But it is incomplete because I get stuck on Lorelei.  

What if Timothy Carter was RJ (i.e. the original murder) but wasn't the murderer of Jane's family?

The assumption then is that Roy is McCallister...head of the BA, an organization that co-opted the Red John persona for their own means.  Using the RJ persona, Roy/McCallister murdered Jane's family.

(Why?  Hopefully we will find that out in Season 7 because a reason isn't screaming out at me.)

So, at the end of Season 1, Roy/McCallister/BA - not Red John -  is taunting Jane. Jane conflates the identities of Roy and Red John, which suits Roy just fine.  

Then Strawberries and Cream happens. Red John uses O'Laughlin to kill Todd Johnson (who is BA and therefore an enemy of Red John).  

With this in mind, when Johnson recites "Tiger, tiger" he isn't exposing his relationship with Red John, but he is actually trying to see if Jane is in the BA and can help him.  In Todd's mind, Jane and the BA have a common enemy in Red John.  

(Aside from O'Laughlin, it is interesting that LaRoach's suspect list also includes Shetrick (BA), Bertram (BA), and Ardilles (later murdered..hmmm).)

Later, Carter Red John says he is planning to retire.  How does a psychopath serial killer "retire"?  He dies.  So he baits Jane into killing him in order to stop killing.  Eh?  

In Season 4, Jane proves to himself that Timothy Carter wasn't Roy by using Rossalind's negative ID.  The murder of Panzer proves to everyone else what Red John is still alive and that he wasn't Timothy Carter.  

Perhaps Jane killed Panzer, knowing he could peg it on Red John, thus "proving" that he wasn't dead.  From Jane's perspective it could be one of two ways:

Either:
1) Jane still doesn't realize that RJ and Roy were different people so when Rossiland told him that Carter wasn't Roy, he assumes RJ was still alive.   So he kills Panzer so that everyone will believe him.

Or:
2) He realizes that Roy and Red John are different people but he needs the CBI to think Red John is alive so that he can continue his pursuit.  So killing Panzer "proves" that they got the wrong guy.  

Sadly, I get stuck with Lorelie.  Who is she with?  She is either in league with the BA (doesn't seem likely) or is working with some other organization which seeks to take down the BA (seems more likely) and goes along with the Red John story in order to captivate Jane.  Not sure.  

Anyway, just a wee theory for old times sake.

I am the real RJ!!! Season 6 finale

i know this has been said before, but why couldn't the RJ story line end with timothy carter.  the night i watched that episode was the most satisfied i have ever been with a tv show.  and it wasn't because of who RJ was, but the way it went down.  you had an arrogant creepy little man, who slipped up and got caught.  and for the first time in tv history, the hero of the show chose to flush morals down the drain and follow through with his plan.  and then the best part of all was when he sat down to finish his tea, know very well the consequences he would face.

also, up til then, the clues that had been put out could have been tied up.  you had a creepy guy who liked killing, he was dorky enough to be a computer hacker, maybe he had a relative in the fbi that he used for a couple of small tasks.  the true downward spiral started at the beginning of season 4.  mainly because RJ became more of a focus on an almost weekly basis.  before S4, he would pop up every few episodes, but after that we started getting more and more clues.  at the time it seemed great, but with more and more clues, it became almost impossible to ti them all together.

so what ended up happening, for me at least, is that once the RJ reveal was over, i not only felt cheated out of all of S6, but i felt cheated all the way back to S4.  and it is sad to think that in the past 3 seasons there was enough time to create and establsh an entirely new super villain for PJ to chase.  especially since they had options like stiles and laroche that they could have played off of.

i compare this to the matrix movies.  the first 2 were full of cool action and planted all these seeds about prophecy and revolution.  i went to the midnight opening of the 3rd movie, and at the end there was a giant "WTF" throught the entire crowd.

that being said, to take a page from stoopkid and post and outrageously optimistic theory, S7 could still save all of this.  i could even grow to ignore the jisbon crap.  basically we can all agree that the patrick jane story is complete.  he got his bad guy.  he got is new girl...speaking of which, in defense of the jisbon fans, even though to me it seems creepy and almost incestuous, i think a lot of us could appreciate the post RJ episodes a little more if you continue to remind yourself that there was a 2 year break between the CBI and FBI episodes.  in those 2 years there were a lot of letters shared between the two, and a lot of time for jane to start to move on.

but still, S7 will be worthless if they continue to focus on jane.  on the other hand, it will be great if they take 13 episodes to replay the entire series through the eyes of Red John.  just as we rooted for jane to catch RJ for years, we can see jane as rj's nemisis over the span.  also, that would give a chance to tie things up. they could show which clues meant something, and ones that are unexplainable could be shown as intentional misdirection by RJ.  it would be incredible. i know xander berkeley would be up to the task.
