THE THEORIES

Thomas McAllister is old enough to be located in police position around the time of Red Barn.  He is related to the true leader of Visualize.  McAllister is either the son of Visualize's former leader or another type of relation.  He decided to start killing Visualize members to test himself.  He may have covered for the ex-leader (executed) of visualize (if he is not it) by showing up to help make it go away.  He may have taken the blame for the killings, and he could be covering his tracks or someone he cares about.  Robert Kirkland was onto Visualize as a Red John associate, and he ended up going crazy.  He killed people, because he thought they knew who red john is.  What he was trying to do was find his brother who he believes joined Visualize.  Brett Stiles supposedly had the sheriff investigating Timothy Farragut's (original Visualize guru) death executed, because it was staged to look like an accident.  Lisbon's mom was killed by a drunk driver, and Timothy Farragut's (ex leader of Visualize) fatal accident involved alcohol.  There is a small chance that those two are related.  However, Farragut's death was ruled an accident.  Somebody wanted retribution for Stiles executions.  Red John is possibly someone struggling against Visualize.  Jane offers Red John a chance to kill Stiles, but he must be sacrificed - or there is no deal.  Jane can make it happen, but Red John has to die for killing his wife and daughter.

One last attempt to convince all the stubborn people who STILL think McAllister wasn't Red John. This feels like talking to kindergarten children..

McAllister was absolutely terrified of dying. All he had to do was tell Patrick Jane the truth (that he wasn't RJ) and he could have lived (which McAllister wanted more than anything).
Jane is not stupid, he would have believed him if he started telling the truth. McAllister could have saved himself. He didn't, because he is Red John. He knew Patrick knows it, he knew there is no point of denying it.

If anyone doesn't understand that, then you have the mental age of a child.

I don't care if I get 30 dislikes, just use your logic and common sense people! Peace.:)

I'm sorry, if anyone thinks RJ is still alive...you need a reality check!
He's dead, plain and simple. Move on!!

Jane dating a women who asks him why he's still wearing his wedding ring, Fischer and Lisbon being jealous about that, etc

The Mentalist has officially turned into a fucking soap opera.

Plus, that blonde woman was OBVIOUSLY the killer, she was just a copy and paste of Erica Flynn.

I'm sick and tired of these new characters! I want Stiles, LaRoche and Kirkland back. :'(

So, now they are getting to push Jisbon story line?  It is safe to say that the show is done and done.

First, the writing is not that good anymore.  The most important episode, Red John, was wasted with banal chitchat and pointless chase scenes.

Second, scene development is so slow as to be glacial at times.  If you watch the scene where the church lady attacks PJ, you will get bored.  "Stop, I am with the police."  "No, you are not."  "Yes I am."  "Well, you don't look like it."  "Well, but it is true."  And on and on.  You really get bored with the repetition.  The actors seem bored repeating those lines.

Third, there are way too many characters on the show now.  Not to mention locales.  How are they going to keep them relevant with the glacial pace of scene development?  I fear they will have to resort to introducing characters by subtext on screen: Risgsby enters the scene, we will read in small letters, "Wayne Rigsby, former CBI agent and old friend of Patric Jane.  Now, runs own agency."

Finally, now that all that is left is murder of the week type episodes, those are no longer developed enough to the point of being semi-interesting.  They are going to be so bad as to be inconsistent and illogical within the span of 40 minutes (vs. 5 seasons with RJ) and resolved haphazardly.  (As was seen with the bogus fertilizer clue from the last episode.)

Either we as the audience have given the show way more leeway than it ever deserved, or they are intentionally making it worse with each show.

You know the running theme about "similarities" (or plagiarism) from other shows including Profiler and Dexter?

Get ready for another "similarity" from another show: Remember PJ's surprise for RJ involving a pigeon?  What if I told you it was copied from another show?  Would you believe it?  Honestly!

Well, it is from another show, a movie called I Give It a Year.  In it, Simon Baker pulls the same pigeon trick!  The result is only slightly different: he does it to a woman, and the pigeon dies instead of a nemesis.  Check it out if you want a laugh.
