THE THEORIES

I still can't decide between Jane and Kirkland. I believe more it's Kirkland but here's the Jane theory.

I think Jane is insane, like Johnny Depp in Secret Window. He does all the killing but he doesn't know that.

I never thought of this until last episode with that memory.

BUT still Jane shook hands with Red John and this is what crushes my theory and puts Kirkland in place

That's not a big deal with Red John being able to know all the 7 names, that's easy, If he knew about the hand shaking he could have just asked Lorelei M. to record all the names, and then when he got hold of the list (from the pictures that were taken he could have known) he could have just edited the recording and leave the selected names only.

The thing with the memory says that either its Patrick himself or it gives him a clue because he actually did tell this story to someone (like his wife) and this would possibly let him understand who Red John was.

I was thinking about who Red John is for a while now. I didnt believe it was Jane, I always suspected Cho i dont know why but to me he looks identicly like the Red John's smiley face, until today i watched the Red John's rules episode.

I guess many of you havent noticed what the song in the end of the episode is about. :) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Cxhl8AwOf0

Something's got a hold of my heart!!!!!!
Keeping my soul and senses apart!!!!!!
Something`s gotten into my life
Cutting its way through my dreams like a knife
Turning me up, turning me down
Making me smile and making me frown

I am still not sure but to me more times i listen to that more sure i am that it is Jane, besides, Jane is the woman name for John.

Let me keep this as simple as possible. My facts are
pertaining only to Season 5, Ep. 22. Near the beginning of the episode there is
a notable fast-frame scene of the CBI office from dusk til dawn the night of
the murder. Notice the camera pans away from Jane sleeping on the couch, and
then pans back to him - as the janitor is cleaning the office.  There is also emphasis on the difficulty Lisbon
had in waking Jane that morning [after the murder]. Last and certainly not
least, the video that ‘RJ’ created for Jane presents the specific verbiage “until
you catch me, or until I catch you”.

Basically, Jane [was] not on the couch at a point during the
night when no one was around.

What was the cause of Jane’s lack of sleep the night of the
murder? (difficulty be woken by Lisbon)

 The video RJ created presents
unfathomable connection to Jane; which pretty much eliminates another physical
person being RJ. Another physical person having this insight to Jane would
morph this show to the liking Genre of the show “Heroes” (and we all know how
that turned out…. I don’t think the writers/producers want to tread that
water).

I think special note should be taken to RJ stating “until
you catch me, or until I catch you”. This articulates a back-and-forth contention.

Therefore, I believe now that RJ is an alternate personality
of Jane; however, this does not mean that all is lost!! I hope the writers don’t
copy Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde ending. The question would be how will the show
develop after Jane’s realization? I would suppose we will start to see a lot
more flash back episodes covering Jane’s life – to point towards the ‘trigger’
of his split-personality.  I firmly
believe that although first inclination is to be upset with the writers for
heading in this direction, they could use this to further a liking – and prevailing
– of Jane……..over his alternate personality.

….AND, pre-emptively, I will rebut any opposition to this
theory with this;

RJ is already proven to not operate on his own and is
himself a mastery of manipulation (hypnosis…..hey! so is Jane). Therefore, a RJ
murder COULD occur while Jane is not there (i.e. ….. in the Mental hospital).

The writing of this series is unraveling. Characters are now frighteningly one dimensional. The plot is accelerating into silliness that makes the commercials look good. So, let's "go with the flow": Jane is a multiple personality who's "dark side" is hidden from his "grinning side." As a con-artist mentalist, he "hypnotizes" the pawns of Red John to thicken the plot but all are mentally "under" his control. Barf!

I think its more fun to consider several suspects even if Jane "was at the mental house when a rj murder happend." I like to play with the idea.

So, IF, repating if! Jane is red john, then I think Kirkland jobs for himself, not RJ-jane. Obviously. And the handshake thing is a bluff.

I've got two important questions if Jane is RJ.

1. Does his accomplices know that RJ is Jane, do they know his face?
2. He had to start of as RJ young, what led to the murder of his wife and daughter, and what kicked him into become RJ?

I don't think Jane is RJ, but if he is that would be great fun.
This questions can also be asked without any suspects.
