I don't think we ever truly ruled out Laroche did we? That tongue in the Tupperware bowl, that may have been the start of things for him.

I´m not sure if this theory is good for you but don´t click "unlickely" only because  J.J. LaRoche isnt on the list. Bruno Heller said :- "You can trust the list" but ... which list? 
-The newest one or the older one? Because in the older one LaRoche was there. Well , lets start.

We all know that LaRoche cut a tongue (I don´t remember who was the victim) and we know WHY. Because he rapped his mother. So lets look at the murderers:

8 unnamed suspects: Dunno the reason.

Jane´s wife and daughter: Patrick Jane mocked him.

Jared Renfew: He was going to blame Red John.

Emma Plasket:Dunno reason

Sam Bosco and his team: He sent Rebecca to kill them because he knew that Bosco had important information and he took his case.

Rebecca: He knew that Patrick was going to take information of her.

Towlen Morgen: He killed him because he wanted Jane to find Martinez body.

DON´T YOU SEE IT? All the reasons are similar that the reason of the tongue. IN ALL THE REASONS THEY ARE GOING TO REAVEAL HIM / THEY MOCKED HIM / AND TOOK HIS CASE.

S5-E21. The Tupperware Box Story.

In the end, it's revealed that the Tupperware has the tongue of Mr.SayNay, the one who raped La Roche's Mother. LaRoche has his tongue collected by himself or someone else. Mr.SayNay, though unable to speak,  tries to utter some words. "Hae Hao". 
If you hold your tongue with fingers, and tried to say Red John, those are exact words comes from your mouth. Perhaps LaRoche is Red John or LaRoche has taken a favor from Red John.

I think Red John is absolutely J.J. Laroche. Let's just remember the Blake's poemJ can stand for John, but there is two of J, so John John Laroche.  Tiger, Tiger... --> J.J. It is just a theory, but what made me write this theory is the second part of his name: Laroche, or La Roche, it sound french, so better say Le Rouge, which means " The Red", so basically his name means John, John, the Red ---> Tiger, tiger, burning bright. This the first prove.
The second prove, In the 5S21E Red and Itchy, the guy who has got no tongue kinda like saying "The Red John is J.J. Laroche."
It is just my idea, but Red John must be J.J Laroche, well at least, probably he is not one from the Jane's List.

I feel as though it must just be me who still slightly expects RJ to be JJ LaRouche. I know he is not on the list of seven suspects and I know Bruno Heller said RJ is one of the seven suspects, but i still hav this slight suspicion of JJ. The reason I slightly expect him to be RJ is because he is very shady. As we have seen in previous episodes, Patrick had a deal surrounding JJ's "secret". We later find out that secret has to do with JJ cutting out somebody's tongue. You have to be very sick minded to cut out somebody's tongue just to shut them up. Also, I feel like JJ has an act going on, like he's really more intelligent than he acts with Patrick. He also works within the CBI and is involved in various investigations. Although this theory doesnt make much sense considering he doesnt fit the description of RJ described by Rosalind. He could be an ally to RJ. W knows?
