Bertram was never one of my suspects, to be honest he was the only one that was never a suspect to me. So in the end, if it's him, Heller was still able to surprise me. 
 
Why he was never one of my suspects? Being rationale:
- Because he recited one of Blake's poems in one of the previous seasons, and that was just too obvious.
- He is bald (and it seems a type of bald that doesn't change in 5 years)
- He is (maybe) too tall.
- He appears in some episodes giving interviews to the press, regarding CBI cases, meaning he was a public figure. So, if he was RJ, and if he went to Sophie appointment, he took the risk of being recognized by her, and that seems stupid.
- He seemed to be fooled by PJ several times.

But, in this last episode, I was very surprised having this strong intuition he is the one. It's something in the way he acted, he was different, in his eyes and posture, it was like a curtain raising, he is so false (like RJ should be) he completely changed is personality after PJ talked about the tattoo. All the others reactions seemed ridiculous if they were RJ, the other 4 reactions to Jane were stupid or unconvincing. 
I'm now sure it's him.

For those that think that reducing the suspects to only 3 would just be too obvious, I don't agree, reducing suspects one by one has been Heller strategy since the beginning of this season. It was him that reduced the list to 7 suspects.  It's just not possibly anymore to surprise us completely and it's more fun to make us think and investigate who could be RJ from the remaining suspects, than give any forced complex twist to the story just to trick us again. 
RJ will be more well accepted if he is someone that was close to PJ (but not that close) and tricked him all this time, Bertram also likes show off, he is polite and sinister, and he has a dubious relation with PJ (love/hate), and he his a good actor (Reed Smith is terrible).  

Did someone noticed this? I'm watching all the episodes since the start. In the end of the episode 3-16 (makes me think about the Bible, John 3:16, coincidence?) Bertram quotes William Blake : When thy little heart doth wake,Then the dreadful night shall break

In episode 2-23, RJ quotes The Tyger :

Tyger! Tyger! burning bright
In the forests of the night

Very similar, isn't it? If Bertral isn't RJ, how can he give a such important clue?

Besides, he's the only suspect with Haffner to have a "crush" on Lisbon.

Theory n°2 : I wonder if Stiles is "God" and Partridge is the son who have been sacrified.
Will he "resuscitate"? We'll see.

Theory n°3 : I hope this is not Kirkland's twin (the symetry)...

Gale Bertram is Red John! Gale is reference to a crater that looks like a smiley face on Mars. Bertram is a reference to him burning bright like a the tiger in the poem. Jane knows but needs Teresa to arrest him. He has been doing this to take apart the organization. He has been working at CIB because Bertram was there. Bertram didn't kill Teresa because it would have meant that it would have been more heat for him. Everything leads to Bertram. Galle is always calm and never loses temper. That has to be false. PJ knew it when he was going to shot him a few seasons ago.

I just can't  continue reading that PJ is RJ. No sense. Either I dont think that someone of that 7 people is Red John. Let get straight to this... Red Jonh must be someone simillar to Patrick Jane, lets say someone who has high intelligence as him, smart as him. My number one suspect is Jane's father. In some previous episodes Jane have said that he is very simillar to his dad, but as I remember his father disappeared didnt die. So jsut giving the theory but theres next one big question, why he would kill Jane's wife and daughter. However I dont that. Also from last episode I just got confused. Bertram Sheriff and Reede are having same tattoo, meanwhile Reede killed Kirkland. So one of them is Red John or they are working for RJ? I'll accuse Bertram.

I think that Red John is Gale Bertram. He is a spooky mysterious boss. He makes strange phone calls, and seems to be the most stupid, but he has a lot of power in CBI. I think that Gale Bertram have something strange that makes him the perfect candidate to be Red John. He his working for CBI very close to Jane and he is as much intelligent to avoid being detected by the King of psychology Patrick Jane.

He is tall and strong, and he could have an alter ego called Red John. I think that he frightened Hightower for getting back his job as the CBI director. I always thought that Red John was Patridge because of that special voice. But the less obvious is to be Gale and that would make it more special for Red John, he would lie in Jane's face lots of times and lots of moment would be so special.

Other things is that he is a member of CBI and we don't know anything about him. Girlfriend, married, sons?? But maybe a contradiction is that he is a little old and bald, but he could be the perfect candidate because 10 years have passed since Jane's family death.

That's my theory.
