Who is Red John?

Theories of mentalistfan123 (7)

All I can say is that so far....Heller has managed to explain the Tiger, Tiger thing in a way that none of us saw coming....he also explained the Kirkland situation in a way that none of us saw coming....He also revealed that Red John discovered Jane's "happy memory" in a way that none of us saw coming....I think we should just give up on trying to guess who Red John is....so far, it's clear that we're wrong about anything else we've thought so far and Heller continues to shock us with his answers and revelations. A lot of things seem obvious, but nothing on this show is ever as it seems. Red John could be anybody, on the list or not. The only thing we can do is sit back, enjoy the ride, and let Heller surprise us all, as I'm certain he will.

Just a thought....but it would be very entertaining if we were to learn that Bob Kirkland was somebody that we knew previously in the show....It would explain why he killed Jason Lennon and asked if he recognized him...it would also explain why Lennon said no...because Kirkland Is Red John and he's changed his identity...........I don't know it's more of a thought, not that I'm convinced this is the case.

I just needed to clear something up....red john could've very easily been talking to Patrick on speaker phone at the end of the premiere...that's all.

Does it seem odd to anyone else that it's dark when Lisbon goes into the house yet there's light coming through the windows....could be a streetlight I suppose....it just seemed a bit brighter than that to me....

Bruno Heller said the clue was "buried" and fans wouldn't understand it until later on down the line. Therefore, I'm not going to bother thinking about it because bit wouldn't be anything we expect anyway. Just a thought...

Red john is on the list of seven. Jane's list is within the list of seven. But he's closer than he's told anyone. He's allowed Red John to see that he's close "the toothpick trick" but he's concealed how close he truly is from Red John...from everyone. He's done this in order to place himself one step ahead of red john. He needs red john to know that he's close so that he will panic and make a mistake. Not letting him see the extent of how close he really is not only puts Jane essentially one step ahead, but also will serve to humiliate red john in the end. My guess? Its Bertram. After the premiere I feel that Bertram is even more errogant and vindictive than I felt before. I think that he's not only capable of committing these crimes but the way he talks is identical to the way red john talks. The only difference is in the pitch. Pay attention to his diction and his tone. I think that the falsetto is his real voice and he covers it with his Bertram voice in everyday life. I'm guessing that Jane is strongly suspicious of Bertram and uses a larger lslist to throw him off. That's my theory
