Who is Red John?

Theories of labatta (4)

I (like everyone else) is DEEPLY disappointed.
Not that it's McCallister - tho that sucks 2.
But that they didn't do ANYTHING to make it exciting or cool or even worth watching.
It could of been so easy. Just by letting McCallister speak with that creepy RJ-voice through their whole conversation would've made a difference, but nooo. And the big and powerful RJ running, throwing himself through a window?! COME ON!!! So LAME and unlikely. His begging for mercy.. God. Everything that was Red John has been destroyed.
And HOW is McCallister like Waldo?! I was hoping for CBI-Ron til the end, he is the only one who's been in most episodes in the background (Waldo). I've never been a Partridge-fan but even him would've been better...
I'm so deeply disturbed by all this. Wish I could say I wouldn't watch this shit anymore now, but unfortunately I provably will anyways, just HOPING they'll give us some answers (probably won't).
Fuck this!

Why does so many of you keep thinking Bertram is RJ and the scene at the churhc is "proof"? Aside from everything else, this is not the ending scene. We know that Jane will meet the real RJ outside, in a park, alone.

I think RJ is Ray Haffner. Why? Simply cause I don't think any of the other ones fit the profile anymore.
Partridge is dead. Also, in season 1 on the fake RJ case, he seems to eager with the case and doesn't really believe PJ when he says it's a copycat. But mostly: he's dead.
Kirkland is also dead. He met PJ late in the show and shook his hand, the episode before Lorelei gets out of prison. Lorelei doesn't speak to RJ after that since she's with PJ - how would she even know they've shook hands then?
Bertram is too well-known to be able to sneak around like that. He's been on tv several times to explain cases - shouldn't Sophie Miller have recognized him when he saw her?
Stiles is too old and too sick.
Smith is too young and too fat. We've seen RJ's shadow - he is not a big man.
McCallister could be RJ. I've had a hard time choosing between him and Ray Haffner. It really could be him, but for now i believe in Ray. Why? Simply cause he tells PJ in episode 06x06 "I'm not Red John". Why would he deny it, if he soon's about to reveal himself (as we know he will in the upcoming episodes)? Makes no sence.

That's why i believe Ray Haffner is RJ!

Okay, so here is my theory!
Just to be clear, I (like everyone else) don't know who RJ is, but I've been thinking about a few things.

1: The "Tyger, Tyger" -thing. This is a poem by William Blake, god knows what it means when they all say that, but I have noticed that Bertram quotes Blake in several episodes. Can't remember season or episode-numbers, but I've noticed it. If that's a clue that it IS him, or that it isn't, who knows.

2. Partridge. He's always seemed very suspicious, and his death made me even more convinced it might be him. What doesn't add up to me is that i've always pictured RJ to be older. In season 1, we find out that the cop who dies in the end (after trying to kill PJ) knew who RJ was since "he was a friend of his fathers". That cop must have been atleast 25, so RJ should be 50 or so. Of course, his father could have befriended a younger man, but if i don't remember it wrong his father and RJ had known eachother for "a long time" and been in prison together?

3. Haffner. The way he reacts when he speaks to Lisbon in the coffee shop made me think it's not him. RJ is such a smart, "chilly" serial killer, it doesn't seem to be his "style" to just deny he is RJ, and he says to Lisbon "will you stop thinking it's me if i come" etc.

4. Kirkland. He is obviously a crazy, crazy man. I, like everybody else, have been thinking about the theory about his brother - does he have something to do with RJ? IS he RJ? And did Kirkland die for real? We still haven't seen any bodies...

I can't wait to find out who it is, just hope I'm not disappointed! The worst would be if RJ isn't a real person but just a conspiracy, that'd just SUCK.
