Who is Red John?

Theories of Vandelay (3)

Every week this season, the writers have been messing with us. Take a look at this board for example, after every week there is a new "hot suspect" and it just so happens to be the one that the writers are shoving down our throats that episode.

I have my own personal favorites who I think RJ is and it's a great deal of fun reading everyone else's theories.......but don't buy into the weekly suspect that they are featuring.

Enjoy the chase and I'm looking forward to reading more theories!  :)

Did anyone not see the preview for next week when Patrick admits it's a fake list of suspects to trap RJ? And did you see the way CBI Ron just happened to be in this episode again, along with the way Patrick looked at him with that look in his eyes and said his name. If not, watch that part again a couple of times.....Patrick definitely privately suspects Ron, it's obvious to anyone who is really looking!

"The closer you look, the less you see."

That's my motto on the "suspects".

READ THIS!!

Hello fellow
Mentalistians! Okay, so first, I have to take slight umbrage at the fact that
the list of “suspects” doesn’t include my own “LOCK”, none other than Ellis
Mars. How can “SUMMER”, the prostitute turned informant have a page and not my
boy Ellis?

BUT – for you
serious RJ sleuths out there, I want to mention something to consider. As
everyone knows, Bruno Heller is the creator of the show and the head writer.
Basically, it’s his baby. But what a lot of people don’t realize is that he doesn’t
write all of the episodes. In fact, he has written only 15 of the episodes
through the first four seasons. Most of the shows he wrote were the pilot, the
opening and final show each season, and most of the Red John shows. But the
pattern of which shows he wrote is also telling – 5 in season one, 4 in season
two, and only 3 in seasons three and four. I think this is telling, and that
it’s highly probable that since HE is the one who will ultimately decide RJ’s
fate, he’d want to write the episodes with the clues. Makes sense, right? Of
course, many of the usual suspects our fellow sleuthers throw out appeared in
the key shows that he wrote, but still...

Happy
hunting, and please be kind to your fellow Mentalistians, even the really
stupid ones who think that Jane, Lisbon, Jane’s wife, or any woman are the real
Red John. Only one (or a few) of us will ultimately be right... and please be
gracious in your praise when my boy Ellis is ultimately revealed to be the man behind
the mask...
