Every time I see Stiles and James Earl Jones in the Sprint commercials I think he should have been RJ. I'm not upset like others but he is a great character actor

Wow, where are all the immature people who were here for days now calling people names like "idiot" and "retard" and a million other names because many of us were rational, smart adults who knew that TV shows didn't make backup, fake episodes and we knew that this would happen. I'm probably speaking for many of the people who were told their IQ wasn't above 70 because we knew it was a real leak. Please apologize and be an adult. If not, I'll say "accepted."
Here is what disappoints me...I really don't care who was Red John, etc. I cared about Jane and the team. I remember watching the show for the first time. My wife and I didn't care about Red John. In fact it got kind of old. What we loved from Day 1 was Jane harassing some rich people or getting in someones head and dismissing them. It was comedy. It was drama. It was Jane just cleverly sticking it to people. So when people say "Well what do they do now?" My first answer was "go back to the formula that got the best ratings." The issue I have now is they took away the fun and now seem to be heading into this dark side of Jane and what will happen to the team. The best part of the show was Cho being serious/funny with one lines. Rigsby being a dufus. Jane playing people with a smirk. I'm afraid they'll just dismiss it.
Let's go through so reality here:
1) There millions upon millions Mentalist fans throughout the world. It's been this way for 6 years. In 6 years this site has generated around 15,000 theories..many lately...and those have been by probably 1000 people by looking at the names I see around all the time
2) Taking the above into context, Heller nor anyone else is going to try and appease less than 1% of the fan base. In fact a majority of viewers don't know this site or care for spoilers.
3) The fact that there has been no major publication of the spoiler makes me thing its real and that a majority of places don't pay attention this stuff. Wouldn't a major show leak be big news if people even cared as much as we do?Also, if you write one great episode and no one has guessed RJ yet why make a fake and leak it...for a tiny few fans?
4) I'm an adult and don't care if the leak was real or fake or who RJ is as long as I like the show and what happens after. People need to be civil and stop being children because you maybe didn't get your way. Also, stop giving yourself too much credit. Heller isn't here crafting a show for less than 1% of people.
Enjoy
Ok. So major studios make 100 million dollar movies and every once in awhile they will make a 5 minute alternate ending that doesn't blow their budget and that 5 minutes is a small part of what they want to do and is in the back of a DVDYet a TV show that has fans but has no one figuring out who their main plot killer is besides a few people on a website leads writers to spend time making a COMPLETE fake episode to trick fans and spend a ton of CBS money? And they accidentally leak it to trick a small amount of fans even though there is no way to know who the killer is. AND the leak is getting no press but on a fan site.....can we just admit that the final show is what you saw and Partridge and no one else is coming back...
1) I haven't seen the leak
2) Why would a network studio spend extra money...a lot of money...to make a fake? They have to pay cast, crew, lighting, camera, etc for all work. It's expensive to make episodes. They didn't know who people were going to guess. So why leak a fake? All they had to do was make one awesome ending and keep everyone guessing until the end. The idea of a fake is plain stupid.
3) I think this is just a bunch of butt-hurt Partridge fans.
I had to get this out before the weekend because I just have to. It's not bitterness because honestly I've posted mostly theories that ride the fence where I can see writers leaving gaps for anything to happen BUT
I'll be most disappointed if its Partridge. Nothing against the character or guy but the let down for me is that the writers keep telling us that they want to play this one straight. They said that RJ is no dork and that he is a strong man. I've heard sneak peaks saying that RJ isn't an exciting guy, its how he got there that is cool. I've seen 1000 theories. But the "coming back from the dead, creepy forensics guy, etc, etc" has been so played out. Seriously, it's a lazy way to write a plot and it's a lame way to add "surprise" to a show. I also keep seeing that people want it to be Partridge. I know no one in my inner circle that wants that.
So don't take it as an afront on your theory, your spoiler, the actor, the role, etc. I just think its a weak ending to a great story and one that has been played a million other times. I'd rather have no tricks and an a back story on Bertram or Hafner.
I have a feeling I'm going to be disappointed but still hope not.
