Hey guys
I just recently re watched season 3 episode 23 (the finale) and I've got a question to all of you.. how did Timothy Carter know that Patrick was going to be at that shopping centre/mall at that particular time to have coffee with Bertram?? How could he have possibly have known if the only people who knew about it were : Lisbon, Cho, Jane, Van Pelt, and Bertram?
I do not believe that Bertram is Red John, but I believe that he is associated with him. Remember when Patrick explained to Lisbon, that the reason he was going to find Red John's man in the CBI, was so that he could lure red John in (so it would be like a trap).. And as soon as Jane tells Bertram to meet him the next day for coffee at 2pm, we see Jane leave Bertram's office and as soon as he leaves Bertram starts dialing on his phone.. probably letting Tim Carter know what's happening..
After all that a lot of the pieces of the puzzle started falling into place.. the episode when Bertram quotes the William Blake poem, he must've got that from Red John..
Also the whole Kirkland-Bertram friendship now makes sense as well.. From the last episode it was gathered that Kirkland is most likely a friend of Red John's (He is not Red John though, because that would be far to obvious, and the Mentalist has been renewed for another season so it can't be him, because how could they progress the story for another season?)
And then in an interview, it was said that Red John is someone that Patrick is specialised to investigate, which means Red John is someone only Patrick can investigate, so he too must be a pscychic, hence his abnormal and supernatural like control over people. And I reckon in the very last episode of the last season, as a twist it will be revealed that Red John is the Mentalist not Patrick..
Waht do you guys reckon
