Hey guys - would you prefer scenario 1 or scenario 2 below?  Hit Green for scenario 1 and Red for Scenario 2.

Scenario 1.  The Red John reveal we got last Sunday is the end of Red John and all things Red John related and we get MacAllister as our man with no further explanations (basically what Heller and CBS gave us).

Scenario 2.  The rest of the series plays on as if Red John was MacAllister and no further explanations are provided, but in the last scene of the last episode of the show Jane opens a door to find a red smiley face and its obviously Red John killed Lisbon.  Again, in this scenario we get no further explanation about Red John, but we know that the ending we got wasnt really then end.

Which you guys prefer?

Does anyone think Bruno Heller came to this site and wrote his own anonymous theory (either a fake one or the real one)?

Green = He was here.
Red = He wasn't.

Could it be Danny Ruskin, Janes brother in Law.  Ruskin fits the physical description and age.  Ruskin also has the same meaning as Roy - red johns alias.

Any merit to this? Comments?

Red John appears to me now to be Tommy Lisbon, the brother of Teresa Lisbon!

- He fits the physical description perfectly.

- He has an affection for Teresa (his sister).

- As a bounty hunter he has ties to law officials and authorities, especially by name dropping CBI family members.

-  His name is Tommy, which is a nickname for Thomas - we all assumed that Bertram was going into Sherrif Thomas MacAllisters storage unit in the last episode, but I believe the Thomas was truly Tommy Lisbon.

- He fits the "Wheres Waldo" description, because he appears or is
mentioned throughout the series and is in the background as a part of
Teresas past through the seasons.

-  His daughter is named Annie after a famous red headed fictional character.

-  In 1988 he was a kid at the farm, but I suspect that first killing was actually done by Teresas father and Tommy adopted the Red John persona thereafter.

- As a bounty hunter he has a good shot, like Red John.

- It would be an unexpected reveal and fit the Keyser Soze descrption as Tommy is percieved as needing his sisters protection and somewhat weak on his own.

-  He must have shaken hands with Jane when they met.

Rigsby is Red John & has seduced Van Pelt to be a follower.  I imagine the real manipulation occurred after she killed her former fiance.  He is good looking and charismatic enough to manipulate, especially after forming relationships.  He has always been the supposed dumb/nice jock of the group to hide his true diabolic mastermind nature.

Under this theory:

1.  It meets the Keysor Soze theory, because no one would suspect Rigsby (too nice, naive, second fiddle to Cho, etc).
2.  Would meet the amazing reveal criteria, because it reveals not one, but two members of Janes CBI team as villains.
3.  Rigsby fits the physical criteria.
