So the last episode ended with Jane in the church and the promo shows a man supposedly Red John meeting him there, so, is the church a flashfoward or is it safe to assume that it isn't Red John, as later Jane is shown talking to Lisbon about meeting someone.

From the start Jane has always maintained that Red John was "his" so why would he publicly declare his identity?
Secondly, what was the gun shot before the bomb went off? and McAllister was standing the furtherest away from Stiles and Haffner yet he died, while the others were hardly injured.

lots of these theories rule out the suspects because of their age, hair
and appearence, but Jane knows Red Johns general appearence and voice,
so why would he put them on the list in the first place?
