The paragraphs below are not necessarily linear, it is more of a compilation of my thoughts on the season up to this point:
Up until this week I thought for sure Haffner was RJ, however following this weeks episode I am almost positive it isn't him simply for the fact that he wouldn't have needed a private detective to bug the CBI as he was working with them and very well could have done it on his own. Additionally, I think that because Haffner has had such an eerie presence in most of his appearances this season, it only adds to my disbelief and makes me feel as though it is a clear red herring from the writers.
In a post a few weeks back, I also said I felt someone on Jane's team (Cho, Rigsby, or Van Pelt) had to be more involved with RJ and that we would soon find more in coming episodes. If RJ really did have an accomplice working directly with Jane, why would he bug the office? Although I still have my doubts about Van Pelt, I think what I said earlier may very well have been false.
After this next episode, I believe we will learn one of two things: either none of Jane's suspects are correct (which is impossible given Heller's statement is true regarding the validity of the list), or at least two of the suspects will escape the explosion from the promo leaving us on a total cliffhanger. To be completely honest, I don't have a clue who Red John is and if you think you "know" anything (excuse my French), but you are a jackass. I would love to see Stiles or Bertram, but I can't wait to see how things unfold!
