Guys, it was the real episode. I'm sorry too but let's face some facts. The Mentalist is no longer in the top 10 of the ratings. (Hell, I'm not even sure if it's in the top 25 anymore) CBS is not going to waste the time and money trying to deceive a few people with a fake episode. For those of you trying to compare it to Lost and Dexter.... think about it. Lost was in the top 5 (I think) at the time and Dexter was a media darling... two things that The Mentalist is not (anymore). CBS and Heller treat The Mentalist like an old forgotten dog. CBS gives it the crappiest time slot and Heller tires of it while he looks for something shinier and new. So again, WHY would they place any effort into putting out two episodes of Red John?
But hey! The GUN!!!! The gun that Jane placed in RJ's hand as he walked away and called Lisbon......... YOU KNOW IT'S GOT TO BE LISBON'S GUN!!!!!! Woooooooooooo!!!!!!!! She is gonna be in some serious sheep-dip!!!
