Someone has possibly already mentioned this but just came to mind ... In
the first season there is an episode in which Patrick and the team have to get
a Red John accomplice out of prison. That very week Gale Bertram decides to go
on a mysterious vacation not before leaving the team without a license to work.
The Red John accomplice manages to get to Mexico and by the time the team reach
him in a motel, he is dead. If only they had had their licenses
they would have been able to work much faster and probably tracked him down.
Now I don´t think Gale could be Red John, Patrick has demonstrated how
superior he isover this character too many times. But an accomplice maybe??
