Who is Red John?

Theories of BlueJack (1)

Yeah, it's McAllister. I hate the fact that I have to choose him, because it's so insulting to know that he was picked pretty much at random and then the episodes of season 6 have been rushed and filled with several new "clues" pulled out of a goat's butt to make him fit... but it's him, there's no arguing with transparent facts (and CBS's goof in the latest promo).

Damn. I wanted Red John to be an imposing figure. I even was hoping that maybe it would be someone planted in the show deliberately since the very beginning (and I think it actually was so, and then the idea was abandoned, but I digress).

Instead, he's a glorified extra from five seasons ago - a random hillbilly who sounds like a drunk and can't win a freaking game of rock, paper and scissors.

And no, I don't care that we'll get an obligatory "explanation" that it was all just an amazing act. (Who wants to bet that it will be complete with some stupid reference to that rock-paper game? Or that his hick accent will be "explained" as acting, too, and tied to the fact that Red John's voice sounded so different whenever he spoke to Patrick.)

This damn random background character was originally a dumb hick, and I don't care if next week he's going to be forcibly retconned into a flying bulletproof Albert Einstein with Joseph Stalin's homicidal urges. A dumb hick he will remain.
