Rigsby and Van Pelt leave the show mid season.
Mid season Red John is caught.

Red John kills Rigsby so he can steal Van Pelt because she has red hair and is amazingly sexy. Since Van Pelt loves to have sex she jumps into bed with RJ (who has a mask on so she doesn't know who he is) and they begin to have sex.
