Red John can't be Gale Bertram because he is bald and according to Rosalind Harker's definition, she said Roy has short straight hair. Can't be Bob Kirland because it does not make any sense, why would he broke into jane's work place and steal information (about who red john is) if he is Red John himself? besides he did it after Lorelei died. I think Bret Stiles is kind of old so is sheriff Mcallister (at least on my opinion, i think Rosalind Harker would've said  if red john was that old). this left us 3 suspects, and i think Reede Smith and Brett Partridge are too young, so in my opinion Ray Haffner is Red John, he is in visualized and he was involved in the Red Barn Case...
