Like many of you, I'm also very sad and disappointed how it ended. Not just the RJ finale, but all the first 8 episodes were poorly written (at least for me). Like for example, when we learned RJ has some phobia and is a good whistler, then suddenly all the 7 suspects start to whistle and develop phobias that we never heard of from last 5 seasons. That was just incredibly dull and inconsistent. Not to mention they didn't even try to explain how on earth did RJ know 7 suspects before PJ. That came as a huge shocker, even a casual viewer would at least expect an answer to that, it's such a shame. And those 7 suspects came from nowhere, right? I felt like they were more of a product from Heller's head than Jane's which is terrible. First they put someone like Smith and didn't include some of the characters who have made a lot more impact than him (Mashburn, Ardiles, Mars...), and second they completely ignored Rosalind and Red Barn episode because some of the suspects really don't match to what we learned. If anything, they could at least explain why they didn't follow Rosalind's description. And top of all, Kira Tinsley. Omg that was probably the worst thing. Someone who has been breaking the CBI network through all these years falls to a random character and her failed attempt to bug CBI office. How did she even see the tattoo, how did she know about it? Anomaly. And finally, the RJ episode, it wasn't impressive at all. Someone would expect he wouldn't die 10 minutes after we learned who he is. I expected far more. And i forgot to mention, to reduce the 7 suspects to 1, they just killed every other, haha, terrible.
I give only 1 % chance real RJ is still alive. Only way to even try to explain this horrible mess is it was maybe orchestrated by real RJ, to deceive everyone. But, i will not hope on that, don't wanna be disappointed twice.
If anything will pop out, probably it's gonna be some close RJ friend. From CBI maybe? Like Ron or a wild card Cho (unlike Grace and Rigsby, he is the only one undeveloped) or someone else, doesn't matter. Then we might learn how at least RJ knew 7 names.
