ARGUMENTATION

Ok, so I caved in, I have now seen the episode and not a moment to early since it's now gone from the website, but ( and I guess I'm gonna get a lot of pepper for this) I kinda liked it, in a way, not all of it of course, some acting was just plain ridicouluse, and why the guy searcing PJ didnt find the pidgon, but menage to find the gun, well maybe he tought PJ was just happy to see him, I dunno.

In a way I'm glad RJ didn't get the change to explain himself, he is indeed a narcissict psychopat longing for approval, but , like my son said when we discussed this, it would be cool if PJ told him not only the bomb plot, but also the list, really showed RJ that he The Mentalist in fact was smarter, that when all comes to an end, RJ is nothing more than a patetich little man who's been played.

We as the audience had very high expectations for this episode, and I'm not saying we should'nt have it, and this was the rough cut, maybe they have deleted some scene's and adding other scene's that worked better om the storyline, but overall I think it was O.K not brilliant , like press members have said, but O.k and I can live with that.
And for those who thinks it strange that RJ begged for mercy, not strange at all, he didnt wanna play before he got the chance to tell his story, the thing he is so proud of, PJ stole that moment of glory from him.

The only thing I dont get is this statement

"Sometimes you're forced to hate the conclusions or the wrapping things
up in silly, absurd ways or in fact — naming no shows — it turns out
they didn't have any idea how they were going to end the show or what
the secret was or why there were polar bears. We have the answers and
it's very important to us, for those people who have been following us
from the start, to revealnot in a series of cryptic moments that leave a
lot of questions begged. We're going to tell the story and explain who
Red John is and what happened and what is going to happen as clearly as
possible because the audience deserves that." Bruno Heller.

I liked the way RJ was played, the actor did indeed do a good job, the explanations BH is talking about ---meh not so much
