I have seen the episode.... and I expect it will be what airs on sunday.... I love that you think CBS has time and money to throw around on fake episodes. They are in the business of making money and not misleading the fans.....
On to the episode... I am actually one of the people that liked it..... red john does not need to be in a whole lot of episodes or always around to have his presence felt... in fact with the Blake association "he is always around in some form"
as for questions..... it answers a whole lot.....
- the bomb at jane's house
- sophie millers murder
- the bare foot in the house after the bombing
- "he is mar"
- the clue at end of 6.01 and why lisbon was spared...
- bruno saying he is "just a man"
- why partridge has to die first
- why his skin is missing when cho examines the body...
It also shows that Patrick knew all along who Red John was since the bombing....
As for not answering other questions like "how he got the list"..... the show moves two years into the future next episode.... I am sure in the next few episodes some will be adressed in conversation....I mean they have had 2 years to dissect his organization...
The reveal also shows how the Blake Association helps take care of everything....
and how it helped mask his identity. Reede Smith clarified that in the last episode "you get a phone call you do what they ask no questions asked"
Heller said people would be disappointed because "he is just a man"... well he is, and him calling 911 and begging for mercy is a prime example of that . Red John is just like most killers - a coward. I mean he even build an association of crooked cops to ensure he wouldn't get caught! What is more cowardly than that.
I wont reveal who it is... but the fact that people were expecting some over the top epic showdown, and that it is not who everyone wanted as RJ may play a part in people being disappointed....
