They killed for years because they didn't stand out ... They blended into the background and nobody gave them a thought ... Not only as serial killers ... Nobody gave them a thought in any way ...

For Red John to be successful he needed to be anonymous ... ( A small town Sheriff ) ... but then he was partially revealed by Janes list of seven ...

Maybe he has found a way to become anonymous again ...

He "kills" himself and  sets up another man to be Red John ( Bertram ) ... this fake RJ needs to disappear so he gives him some money and a passport ... and then he becomes invisible again ...
