You would understand that the final suspects aren't who we expected them to be. And that a character who we thought was long gone would return.

Now everyone is expecting Bertram, McAllister and Smith as the final three, so I'm guessing either it's Stiles and Haffner instead, or someone off the list (which is not very likely), 

Now for the character that was long gone, I have a feeling its either Lorelei or Partridge. Otherwise I don't think he'd find it worth mentioning if it was like Minelli or Rosalind. And long gone means dead, usually doesn't it?
