As a fan of the Mentalist, and feeling kicked to the curb like most Mentalist fans, I plan on boycotting the new Heller series coming out called Gotham. I am sure it will be a great series until we all discover some lame-fuck ending in store for us. If Rigsby is not identified as some creepy fuck killer by the next two episodes, I have to go read a book (the true source of Hollywood stories). There is no thrill for Will anymore!

I think the only thing that might suggest Rigsby as Red John is Van Pelt's terrible taste in men. Seriously, every each of them turned out to be a psycho..... except of Rigsby ;)

Did they ever PROVE that olaughlin set todd Johnson on fire ?
Or did they just ASSUME he did it cuz he turned out to be working for red john or the BA?
Also did they ever explain how someone made a man burst into flames ?
No cameras? Anybody carrying a gas can? Did they even use gas ?
Olaughlin did seem well versed in fire starting when he figured out how jane did the candle trick but still no camera showed him doing it?
Rigsby is an arson specialist and whoever made janes house blow up knew a few things about bombs and fire as well.
Also the indian convenient store owner episode showed red john use bombs again.

I don't expect any answers just some stuff on my mind .

RED JOHN STARTED MURDERING IN 1997-1998.
-we have no proof he was at the red barn in 1988, this is just a popular assumption.

WE THINK OF RED JOHN AS A "PIMP" A GUY WHO CAN MAKE WOMEN DO AS HE PLEASES . HE LANDED LORELIE , or so we assume.
-Red john is horrible with women. He kills their loved ones and makes them be friends with him by brainwashing them. You have seen his followers , they are nuts ! He hates women and murders them frequently and uses them as tools.
-Lorelie is a huge exception but she is different from the rest . She was not a pawn. She may even be ex military or FBI. You saw her , she has skills. Ill get to her later.

RED JOHN was made fun of in high school. He was humiliated and dropped out. When he kills women he ties there arms with black tape.
The same black tape used to tie Red johns arms in high-school during a prank.
-This prank made him dropout. This man is Derick Logan.
-He became a heroin addict before joining visualize.
-He received plastic surgery from Tannen ep1 pilot.
-He transformed to Wayne RIgsby

~Red John acts like he is so smart and perfect but its all lies . He can be killed and he is very vulnerable . The persona her portrays of himself is as jane spoke through MAcalister to him, "sick delusions of grandeur"
~Red John does not work alone . The scene when Lisbon is taken is a two man job and there is no way around that if you study that scene.
RED JOHN HAS FRIENDS ALL OVER
-Macister was not the King of the BA
-A small time sheriff cannot just own judges and politicians by not acquiring power is some way!?!

Like i said Lorelie was not just some girl she has combat skills which makes me think she is ex fbi.
-this may be why patrick is working for them now because rj had huge fbi connections.
-derick logan went to school with Gabe Nyland
-gabe nyland is a huge clue and may be a high up in the BA

VISUALIZE HAS A NEW LEADER
-they may have always been in bed with the BA
-Styles was wanted to take the fall for this but he faked his death.
-Visualize is hunting cbi agents

Just a theory me and my old man came up with while discussing the most recent episode. 

Knowing that the whole cbi team has had there phones bugged since I would assume at least the start of the season we have to think about what this person or people might have overheard. I speak mainly of what PJ said in that there are other names on the list of BA members that have not been caught. What if this was true? I know its been said by smith that all the members are blackmailed into doing these crimes but he was also under pressure, looking for a way out and for protection, this could have very well been the escape plan story if they ever needed a way out but not to complete cross the BA and have a hit put on his head, they were allready exposed and he did no more damage then what was already done but make the other look ALMOST innocent. I mean bertram, and cordero didn't seem to regretful of they're actions or like they were forced to kill now did they?  now if it is true (and i hope it's not) that red john is truly dead then what about these other members that might be left to pick up the pieces after there leader died? they had 2 years to build a new base and start again. What if a lot of these people are working around Jane in the FBI and we just don't know it? Abbot for some reason i don't think would be one, however we know nothing about any of them, and if they thought they were on the verge of being caught again and Abbot was helping PJ on the grounds that he would help catch them wouldn't they do something about it? at the moment PJ is too hot, hes in the FBI with other non corrupt agents and cant be touched without exposing the truth because what else has he done to have someone want him dead? (besides piss off tons of people throughout the series:p but that's kind of irrelevant at this point), so where to start for information? They need to know if this list is real and what names that Patrick and possibly other members of his old team might know, so bug the former cbi team and see what they know about this "list". Take them out one by one, likely from the least dangerous/safest to kill, torture them for information and eventually get closer to Jane and the truth.. PJ might have really put people in danger with this lie he told to Abbot, and who know maybe Abbot is one too but is smart enough to know that if he was on Jane's list that Jane would be scared of him and wouldn't trust him so he goes with is as would be his "obligation" and plays along with Patrick's game (and in the meantime looking good for having PJ solve all there cases), however i really hope Abbot doesn't turn out to be the next RJ.. also I cant really see why RJ would want to kill off these scattered members of the old cbi...

HOWEVER I still like to believe that red john is alive and that this is all one big game of chess, im sure you all know the theories if your on this site. Jane shut the cbi down on purpose because of a possible mole in his close party, He has the fbi rapped around his finger trying to make the real RJ think hes moved on, i have even deluded myself enough by reading other theories to think and almost hope that its Rigsby! never in the whole show would i have even considered turning on him but im at that point and i know a lot of you are too.  I sure hope BH dose't let all his fans down and actually pulls something great out of his a** i mean i will accept this huge upset of Mcallister being put off as the real deal for so long and even forgive BH if he turns this around, and who knows MAYBE this was what he wanted, MAYBE he didn't care about the HUGE loss in viewers over this, and all the hate he would receive for a few months, MAYBE he just wanted to create a fantastic story for his die hard fans like us!! or maybe not... but on the somewhat large chance that Rj is dead and this is a new spin, at least it would keep things interesting and not completely stray from the whole RJ story. They might even answer some of the questions that they have so rudely ignored! well just a theory! hope you guys like it and that you might take this and include things i may have missed and make it your own theory! AND PLEASE POST THEM!!! I miss coming to this site every day and seeing LOTS of actual theories not just hate comments, no one wants to see them.. were all mad enough as it is!

This show is the king of misdirection.
Just when you think its a boring new beginning then BLAM! They get u.
We went through a few filler episodes and people were flipping out.
You need fillers but i admit i was getting annoyed as well.

This new list changes everything .
Why was ardilles bleeding from his nose ? Maybe he was tortured but for what info?
How did van pelt get that info? Where did it come from? I mean was it on ardilles phone or what ?
I dont get how she achieved this info if anyone knows please fill me in.

We have no idea which murders where done by the REAL RED JOHN.
We assume Partridge was killed by him due to the phone call but like i said earlier that was a two person job.

For f sake can jane talk about what happened at his house?
Haffners threats to Lisbon rung a bell in my head when i saw the new list of targets.
VISIALIZE is behind this somehow and the show has not even mentioned them! Making them look more guilty .
Who is running their show ? Styles ? Haffner ? Cooper? Farragutt? Red john?

Janes master plan is slowly coming to the checkmate aspect of the game.
The mentalist is great at misdirection thats why NOBODY knows whats going on.

But the show is heating up and its weird that all the main chatacters were on that list with a bunch of random people . Who were they?!?!
I beleive when haffner gave a warning to the team that they were pissing people off in high places that has to do with this "hitlist"

No doubt this will all go back to visualize . They havent spoke of haffner or styles at all which means they are saving it for the end.
Dont worry people , they cant drop any bombshells until the last few episodes .
We still have like 8 or 9 shows left and they are all gonna get crazier and crazier !
