I think Red John is Dale Cooper.  Coop is driven to kill because of his symbiotic relationship with "Bob".

So episode 1 kills off the suspect most people thought was RJ (Partridge). Then they kill off Kirkland who was probably the next prime suspect. Anybody else think that the next most suspected character, Haffner, bites it in Fire & Brimstone?
