I dont know if anyone else noticed but I found something I think is interesting. Every time we hear Red John he has the same voice (voiced by Simon Baker) except once. The time Jane was saved by Red John he had a completely different voice; no where near the other one. I don't think this was an accident. As we've learned through six seasons of the show, everything that happens is there for a reason.
I've been watching important old episodes to see if i could figure something out about Red John's identity. When i watched the finale of season 3, I unfortunately found out while watching that episode that or PJ's list is a trick of PJ(even though Brunno Heller told us we could trust the list) or Brunno Heller (BH from now on) messed up. This is because PJ should have eliminated Bertram from his list and he didn't.
Firstly i will have to give you a short recap of the season 3 finale to explain what BH did wrong. So in the finale PJ knows there is a moll in the CBI working for RJ, the moll is one of 5 people including Bertram and Craigh O'Loughlin (COL from now on). RJ wants to kill Hightower. PJ figures a trick. He tells all the suspects where Hightower is supposed to be, so the moll will tell RJ where Hightower is and he will send an assasin to her place. The trick is that all the suspects are given a different location but all hotelrooms directly above eachother. The assasin enters the room PJ told Bertram about, but later they found out the assasin was planning to use a rope to get one floor down to enter the room given to COL, thus proving COL is the moll. COL gets killed and Lisbon calls the last person COL called which is the RJ-imposer, whom PJ kills later.
This proves COL is definitely an RJ disciple, just like the RJ-imposer. Also RJ failed for the trick of PJ. But if Bertram were RJ then he would have known PJ gave a different address to COL, then he wouldn't fall for the trick and wouldn't send an assasin to Hightower's assumed location. PJ should have been able to deduce this yet Bertram is on PJ's list, therefore my conclusion is:
BH made a mistake or PJ is using the list for some kind of trick (but even then somebody of PJ's team could have figured out why Bertram can't be RJ).
This is not a Theory or anything!
Just got some question for you guys ; - )
It goes way back, all thee way back to Season 1 EP 10 when we see a small flash back about Janes break down

At 0:53, we can see a Red John smiley face inside jane's room when he was at that place, the smiley face is really messy but whatever? who do you think made it? Was it Red John that came to see Jane? or was it Jane that made the smiley himself?
please comment i would like to find this one out :-)
Not a RJ Theory. Watch the link at the bottom to remind yourself exactly what killing Redjohn means to Patrick. It's easy to get caught up in the high-paced action, and be disappointed by who or how. I hope this video puts things in perspective again.
I'll also make an awkward theory for entertainment...
RJ got Patrick's notes from the mental institution months ago. Patrick's first case, immediately after watching the Lorelei video, is from Redjohn accomplice, Bertram. The case of Cody Benbow. RJ picked Jane for this case for a reason. RJ could easily manipulate the case into a reality - he is a mentalist. Why is this case laid out for Jane? Well, after reading the notes from mental institution, RJ learns something interesting about Jane- a layer of Jane's guilt we never knew about. Jane on live TV taunted Redjohn to murder his wife. Not his child though. Jane's mistake was underestimating RJ's connections and how quickly RJ would act. And his child was killed.
When Patrick stands in front of Cody Benbow's portrait. Its eerie. Eerie like the way Partridge stands in front of a Redjohn smily.
It almost makes you think... did Patrick orchestrate his wife's death the same way he orchestrated Panzer's? I mean, who goes on a talk show and badmouths a serial woman killer. Straight after the case, when Bertram deals with Patrick, his choice of words to describe himself is "Calculating and Duplicitous." If what I postulate is true, that would be an excellent taunt from Redjohn with his new knowledge.
When Patrick talks to his daughter in the hallucination episode she says "Mom would not be happy," to which he replies "Well, the interesting thing about your mother is, its not your business..."
Bruno even asks after he's killed Redjohn "How does he live with what he’s done?"

At 1:36 onwards, Patrick reads. It should get every Mentalist fan psyched for the Redjohn reveal! If you don't remember, Patrick wrote that letter himself.
Could Red John be more than one person ?
People!
Heller's statement about serial make no sense. I mean there something wrong about it, have you ever seen any producer telling a fact about his/her serial in real world? How this is possible even all cast signing confidentiality agreement , how might Heller can tell " RJ in the list " or not???
If he is doing something like this , that also means that his story telling style is not enough tell itself in fantasy world, a support for more explanation is required from outer real world(Heller's statements) This is a Dilemma ;
Either this serial not good enough to story itself because of that story needs Heller's support from real world to story world ,or Heller is manipulating audience. He has to accept one of these two options,no other option is available.
