not a theory i just
wanted to point out two very common
over interpretations:
Bob
Kirklands twin:
Every theory i've read so far assumes as a
matter of fact that Michael Kirkland is Robert Kirklands identical
twin. As far as i know that has
never been explicitly
stated, therefore any male in the same age range could be Michael
Kirkland.
If you think about it Ray Haffner would fit the
description. He joined Visualize because of a "difficult
childhood", Michael Kirkland suffered under an alcoholic father,
Ray Haffner is attracted to Teresa Lisbon, herself a daughter of an
alcoholic.
The List of 7:
This could be a field day for
anyone rooting for a suspect not on the list. The idea that PJ is so
forthcoming with his list has lead people to distrust it and argue
for it to be. The idea that PJ is actually
working on RJ's list has been floated.
However there is the
following interview quote by Heller:
"Interviewer:
After all that craftiness
on Patrick Jane’s part, Red John is still a step ahead of him. So
can we really trust that the list is accurate if Red John is so
willing to confirm it?
Bruno Heller:
Yes, we can trust that list. As much as much as Red John has been one
step ahead, Lorelei Martins’ intervention changed the game. So as
much as Red John is trying to play from a position of strength in
reality Jane has gotten a lot closer. This last episode of the season
really sets us up for next season: The hunt is on, no messing
about."
The underlying assumption of
the question is that RJ has confirmed PJ's
list.
Look at how Heller
answers the question of the reporter. He doesn't tell us we can trust
"the
list",
but he tells us we can trust that
list.
Now here's the catch PJ never stated that RJ's list
matched up with his own, nor did we ever see his list. He just acts
devastated and sad. The only name he ever disclosed of
his list was Gale Bertram.
When the
video tells Jane to take out his list of suspects he instead hands
Lisbon 7 pictures. The pictures match the suspects and even the names
below the picture match up
100%. Also notice that in the beginning of 5.22 Jane burns something
in that bucket
that produces a weird green flame and that
the bulletin board is wiped. There
was an identical bulletin board on the cbs homepage showing the last
30 suspects.
So to sum up the whole
thing:
Heller confirmed we can trust Janes list, which we have
never seen, but he didn't confirm that we can trust the video, that we
have seen.
