THE THEORIES

hello all. i just have one question

In episode ''His red right hand'', 8th episode of 2nd season we found that doctor of 3rd and 4th Red John's victims is dead, dr. Towlen Morning. His body is actually found at the beginning of the episode, naked and placed frozen somewhere outside. It's clear as day he is dead.

Then, in some episode of season 5, actually at the end of episode, we see Jane looking at his book of suspects, and there is a name dr. Towlen Morning and a note: deceased?

My question is why would they do that? Why showing to viewers that doctor, even dead, is still among Jane's evaluation of possible Red John suspect?

Is it something we should consider that in some future episodes, or they are just having a very bad taste and are messing with audience in not right way?

SPOILER ALERT!

PJ say publicly to press a name. Probably one of the leaders of the Tiger. This will make all the police chase that person, leaving his way free to meet RJ at the park. We will see a large gathering. Epic!

I thought the explosion at Jane's was of his own doing, but this promo says otherwise. So, doesn't that perpetuate the Brett Partridge theories? If Red John really bombed that house, wouldn't it be completely irrational of him to actually show up for the meeting and risk blowing himself up? If he were one of the five suspects, wouldn't it have made far more sense to simply wait it out until everyone but him entered the house, and then activate the explosion? Sure, the CBI team would automatically suspect him for being the only one who didn't show up, but still, isn't that better than going in there and probably getting killed by his own device?

The only way this makes sense for Red John is if he's Brett Partridge. He 'died' so he has a pretty solid alibi. This would also explain why Partridge had to die so soon, he got himself off the radar and was free to carry out his plans. Of course, the faking of a death is a cheap plot point and I didn't want it to happen, but I think Partridge is now the likeliest candidate. This show is not above such a trick.

The only other guy who is on the deceased list is Kirkland, and we know he was actually hunting RJ so he's not an option.

Regarding the promo, when the voice says it's down to the final three suspects, it shows the tattooed ones, but again this conflicts with their reasoning to enter the house.
As for those whose photos are pinned up on the board, I believe they are at large. There would be no point having them up there if they were confirmed dead, as that puts them out of the picture. Also, there is no photo of Partridge there.

Lets hope we learn Red John's identity in the next episode, it's been long overdue.

Simple deductionA. Bruno Heller said that we can trust the list. It has several time been confirmed that Red John is one of the seven suspects.
B. Bret Stiles, who personally knows Red John, was genuinely surprised by Patrick's accusation.

Conclusion: (A+B=) Either Kirkland or Partridge is still alive and is Red John!

To people are wondering if Stiles, Haffner and Sheriff McAllister are dead or at large because of thier pictures being on the board, by watching the promo, i think they are dead because Rigsby says "Red John brought in a bomb to kill Jane and the other suspects".  When he says this he points to the pictures of Stiles, Haffner and McAllister, implying that they are dead... ? I think

Latest spoilers from TVGuide & TVLine :

**Any hints about who survives the explosion on The Mentalist? — Eric
ADAM:

Spoiler alert: Jane lives! In all seriousness, the blast does take out a
significant number of Red John suspects, and before Sunday's episode is
over, Jane and Lisbon will go public with who they believe to be the
serial killer. But it can't be that easy. And of course, it won't be:
Look for Rockmond Dunbar to make his first appearance in the episode's waning moments. (Hint: He's not there to make friends.)

**Question: Purdy, purdy please any scoop on The Mentalist. —Erin

Ausiello: If you thought, as some did (I’m looking at you,
Mitovich!), that last week’s episode-ending explosion was some sort of
neatly orchestrated diversion technique, oh how wrong you are. No, as
this coming Sunday’s episode opens, there are bodies (and, gulp, body
parts) to be found, while a frantic Lisbon places her trust in perhaps
the worst person possible.

So, from the spoilers we can come to these conclusions:
1) The explosion wasn't planned by Jane. Probably RJ or his accomplice(s) did that.
2) Some of the suspects died. In this respect, tthe promo of 6x07 is very important IMO because on the board, we see Stiles, Haffner and Sheriff McAllister. According to this; there are two options:
A) They are the dead ones whose bodies were identified.
B) They are the ones who are missing or at large.
In this case we have two groups and if we can rule out one group, we'll go one step further: Stiles, Haffner and Sheriff McAllister  /  Smith, Bertram. I believe the ones on the board are dead.  I reall don't want that. The first group has more good candidates for RJ so I hope the board contains the ones who are at large or missing.

3) The person whom Lisbon trusts is most probably from "Tyger Tyger" and this could mess up a lot of things.

4)The press conference is interesting because according to the 6x07 promo, I presumed that it would be in the middle of the episode and the last scene would be the last scene of the promo 6x07 (surrounding the house)..So, I'm really curious about the last scene of 6x07 and I believe that RJ's identity will be explained in the last scene.
