THE THEORIES

So after the explosion when Lisbon walks inside we see a foot on the floor, even though none of the suspects were barefoot, so where did that come from?
It seems awfully fish that the Sheriff would die along with the 2 sitting on the couch all the way on the other side of the room, but the other 3 would be just fine.

Also, keep in mind RJ was scheduled to be revealed at November 17th, BEFORE episode 7 got delayed, so actually he was supposed to be revealed at episode 8, an episode which btw is called "Red John".
So if tonight's episode showed me anything new is that Bertram is not RJ and that at least one of Bret, Ray and Thomas are still alive and one of those is RJ.

so. Here is the situation.

1) Bertram is definitely RJ   ( I see no reason why the group wouldn't kill him, as they were going for Smith, however how was the bomb planted?)

or

2) He is the ultimate red herring.

Bertram has been reporting to someone - that someone MUST be RJ (unknown to him)
RJ MUST be the head of the blake appreciation.
But nobody knows who it is.

He was fighting to survive this episode, as was Smith only difference being Smith got wounded. Killing Jane was an attempt to keep his secret (3 dots) I see no specific reason to believe he is RJ

I believe PJ has figured it out hence why he dropped the cup, why he stared at birds again. The leak to the media was a diversion.

If is not Bertram and the person and RJ on the list
there are only 2 options
1) Partridge - who his fans will be still praying for him return - very unlikely it was explained why he said Tiger Tiger. To try and get help. HAS TO BE DEAD - SORRY or what do you see in that picture????
2) Michael Kirkland - THIS HAS TO BE REVISITED or the twin story was pointless!!!!! (maybe a explanation from Bertram if he is infact RJ would explain it

The series seems to reveal Red John's identity conclusively tonight, but hold on for next week's twisty and chilling resolution.

You'll get no spoilers here, but the plot should delight conspiracy buffs, and the Jane-Red John showdown is memorably staged. Red John killed Jane's wife and daughter.

Or 3rd option is its somebody else which I find highly unlikely and too late to do it now.

Really enjoyed the episode, liked how bad Bertram became.

Funny thing is: This episode didn't really give us new leads.

Partridge wasn't shown, what happened in the room wasn't shown (which means there could be something off), Bertram, despite looking suspicious, wasn't confirmed as Red John...

Maybe everything is a setting for a huge twist on the next episode?

Partridge is dead.

Red John killed him.

He is not Red John.

I don't know how many times people have to say this. The producers, the actor and everyone else has made it very clear that he's dead. Yes they didn't show his whole body but honestly? That would be such a dumb move.

Like what if Patrick with the drop of his tea cup realises that he hasn't had his tattoo removed, it's just a big flap of skin made to look like it has been removed, and then runs along to the morgue with everyone at CBI and says "cho you didn't look at partridges head, omg it's not partridge it's someone else's body, omg partridge is red john" and then they realise partridge was in fact the lady feeding pigeons in the park and they go to the park and kill her then sing a song and skip off into the sunset.

That's how stupid some of you sound.

Are we just going to accept that Bertram is RJ? That is just so disappointing. No twists, no surprises, nothing.

Umm...Haffner, Stiles and McAllister burnt to a crisp whilst Bertram, Jane and Smith just walk out of there? It makes no sense, they were on opposite sides of the room before it exploded!

Also, would RJ slice Patrick's throat whilst he's unconscious in a hospital with no last words, no final explanation? It's just not like RJ at all.

And I'm sorry but would Patrick just give up like that after getting so close to RJ? I don't think so.

I'm just hoping that it all ends up to be some elaborate plan otherwise that was the worst possible ending to the RJ storyline I could have ever imagined.

Not a theory, just wanted to know if I'm the only one who is really disappointed with this episode and is going to be really pissed if Bertram is really Red John.
