THE THEORIES

I'm still not sure about RJ's identity, nonetheless, I have a theory concerning him and TT.

First, I do believe Bertram is the head (or one of the heads) of Blake Association. HOWEVER, I don't think he is working for RJ, I think he rather wants him eliminated because RJ is causing some trouble on the inside of the Association. My theory is, most of RJ's followers (Craig and Todd for example) were part of Blake Association at first, before they met RJ. Then, he turned them after finding a way for them to work for him. So basically, he "steels" Blake Association members and turns them so HE could be the one controlling them. It makes RJ part of the Association as well.
The fact that RJ is taking control pisses Bertram off, which is why he's constantly asking Jane some heads up on the RJ case.  He wants him eliminated for good. Everytime he tells Jane "I want to be there where you finish this", you can actually feel that he means every word. He wants to see RJ die once and for all.

I think after the Great Red Dragon Ep many people would have new
theories if you don't believe Gale Bertram is really Red John.
Personally I think I can sit well with that answer but I got an idea of a
twist here...Since the start of this season I have been thinking
McAllister to be Red John just because I think it would be more
interesting out of all the other suspects. Now move on to the theory...

Out of 7 suspects, Brett Partidge can be ruled out because his death was witnessed by audience and also examined by PJ's Team who confirmed it.

Bob Kirkland
's
death is visible on screen and no reason to think he has to fake it to
the audience since only witnesses there are his killer Reede Smith and
unnamed prison driver (Michael his twin is ruled out because Bob stated
that Michael left BECAUSE RJ took him and twin brother as killer is just lame).

Next we can rule out is Reede Smith
as he was shown in the ep Great Red Dragon that he nearly got killed by
Lisbon once and Blake Association twice. RJ would not make such a close
call for himself. Furthermore PJ confirmed it himself that "RJ would not break like this" so we can count that as creditable.

So
now we have Gale Bertram, Ray Haffner, Bret Stiles and Thomas
McAllister left and based on the Ep.7's information we know the latter 3
are "postively" dead.

Now it is the interesting part: Bruno
said there was an important clue in the crime scene of the first Ep so
what is the clue exactly? I thought it was the pigeons but that seems
too easy as Ep.3 gives away that McAllister fears birds and he is dead
in Ep.7 . So if Bertram is RJ then what is the clue? Before Bob Kirkland
brought it out to us in Ep.5, we don't know the meaning of "Tiger
Tiger" let alone the Blake Association behind it, only "something big is
behind". Until Ep 6. we did not know the meaning of the "Tattoo on left
shoulders" until it was fully explained in Ep.7. The final clue is the
mention of Brett Partridge almost confirmed as a member of the
organization with his left shoulder's skin torned likely in an effort to hide the link.

My answer: The real clue in Ep.1 is not the pigeons but Brett Partridge himself
- as a forensics specialist and member of the organization he can
provide fake evidence or erase it completely. Assuming he is not the
only member in the law enforcement forensics dept. with link to the
organization. This means RJ very likely to have the ability to fake his
own death provided it is not a confirmed death scene in the show confirmed by both audience and PJ team.

Now
watch Ep.7 again, look at the timeline of the ep. The death
confirmations of Stiles, Haffner and McAllister as told by Cho comes
from the "techs" with "DNA from burnt crisp bodies" meaning no one from
PJ team could confirm it as they believe the third party result.
AFTERWARD PJ wakes up and tell them Reede Smith is not the only one who
has the tattoo thus leads to the revelation of the true meaning of the
tattoo and later, the Blake Association. Then PJ team went back to check
Partridge's shoulder and theorized that he could very well be a member.
Another clue is when Reede Smith mentions that Blake Association helps
him get away with his crime by erasing evidence with "Blood evidence"
as highlight of the act. All of these are hints that RJ has and could
very have up until PJ wakes up have planted evidence or at least capable
to do so. This proved as long as the death does not occured
definitively on the show or examined by PJ's team, it cannot be
confirmed. Therefore Stiles, Haffner and McAllister cannot be ruled out
yet.

Next on the promo of Red John ep. RJ said he won. If he is
Bertram how did he win exactly? He is being hunted, his organization
revealed and most importantly, PJ found out who he is and made it public
before he could kill PJ. Even if he does kill PJ and get away he did not
"win". However if Bertram is not RJ but one of his many app if he is
confirmed dead by authority and free to start his live again after and
most importantly, PJ has it all wrong, then he only needs to kill PJ and
disappear..."The Game is over and I won".

Anyway above is my
theory. My pick is still McAllister assuming the "tattoo rules" still
stand (as layout by Reede Smith - RJ is a member and thus has a
tattoo/it was really RJ himself that killed Kira Tinsley). That
effectively ruled out Haffner and Stiles.

Also many have already
pointed out that it doesn't make sense for McAllister to die with
Haffner and Stiles while he was standing with Smith and Bertram which
both of the latter survived the blast. It would make sense if he planned
it from the beginning to set a trap in order to lead PJ to believe
Bertram is one of them, as he probably would have noticed about the tattoo being seen and passed on to PJ in Ep. 5.

We
all know that PJ would win at the end and someone already pointed out
PJ made a press release as a trap to set up RJ which is probably what
the flash drive message is all about. We will see if my theory is right
or complete bull.

If you have read the whole thing, thank you for your patience :)

Please, bertram isn't RJ, it's Timothy Carter all over again...when Jane's getting close to him, somebody (i'm guessing high rank members of blake associaton) will take his place to fool everybody...another thing, if i remember correctly, van pelt has sent the decoded file (found in McAllister or Bertram's locker room) to jane already, and i think it contains every single name in blake association...all in all, jane already got all of its members, including the leader's name (RJ, obviously) and my money is on McAllister.

In this post I will explain several key events that have happened in episode 7 The Great Red Dragon (if you have not seen the episode yet stop reading and go watch it). These events will also hint at what I believe will happen in episode 8 Red John.

In the last episode several important facts have occured.
After the bombing of Jane's house 3 of the 5 remaining RJ suspects end up dead. When we learn that the tyger tyger tattoo has been removed from Patridge's arm Lisbon asks "What does it mean?" Jane answers "What do you think it means?" and walks away. The removal of the tyger tyger tattoo obviously means that the Tyger Tyger group is present in the morgue, and this also means that the dna results of the 3 RJ suspects that died in Jane's house are very likely false. Jane obviously realizes at this point that RJ is 1 of the 3 "deceased" suspects. He then begins setting his trap, he announced publicly that RJ is Bertram, fully aware of the fact that this is a lie. I mean Jane has always said that when he finally gets RJ he will kill him, so why would he announce to the public that Bertram is RJ and that he is "armed and dangerous"? Answers because he wants Bertram to get killed, he wants Bertram to die, making everyone believe that RJ is dead. As we know RJ is a showman, he wants people (especially Jane) to appreciate his work, RJ has a phobia of being unrecognized. So RJ needs to confront Jane in the next episode because he HAS to, he knows that it is a stupid thing to do and should walk away but he CAN'T. Hence why Jane sais in the end, "I'm not quitting, I'm letting go". There is nothing more that he can do and he knows it, RJ needs to make the next move. So he goes into the church and waits for the inevitable arrival of his nemesis, RJ.
