THE THEORIES

I swear, fifteen years after the show is over some of you will still be saying "Red John is Partridge. He's going to come back and Patrick will realize he killed the wrong man" blah blah blah... Its a TV show not real life. Patrick Jane is a character in a TV show.  He does not really exist.

I hate how some people act like they are completely positive Red John was not McAllister and that the RJ storyline is not over and everyone who thinks so is some giant idiot. These are the people who act like they know exactly how the rest of the series will play out and give you the whole "one of two things will happen in the next episode" bit. Newsflash, people who write their theories that way just come off as arrogant, pompous assholes (Yes I mean you Vicious).

Love the hopefulness still on this site - that the episode that aired was purely a trick & that wasn't really RJ, that there is some elaborate ruse going on in true Mentalist style that will soon satisfy us all.

Each week after the episodes there's been a "well there must be a twist, that can't be how it ends" feel to most peoples comments, but more edging towards "I think that might actually have been how it ends...".

I think todays episode will finally kill off all this hope & reveal the unfortunate truth, this seasons been horribly written & the RJ arc has been thrown in the bin without clearing up any of the questions that needed to be answered to give this part of the story the ending it deserved.

I hope I'm wrong as it could have been so good, but I gave up a couple of weeks ago on a good ending & I fully expect to be disappointed with the next episode (in regards to clearing up the RJ saga).

The biggest disappointment for me is not that it was McAllister, but the fact that he was running away, begging and being terrified of dying. That's my biggest problem. It doesn't make any sense to me that they wanted to close the Red John storyline like this.
Have they never seen a good thriller with a psycho serial killer in it? Like Kevin Spacey's character in Seven, or Anthony Hopkins in Hannibal?? Would they beg and cry? No, because they are sick, mentally insane psychopaths..Even Kirkland was more of a psycho, just accepted that he was going to be killed..
Why did they make such a huge mistake and made Red John a regular person?? I don't understand and I never will..Very sad for us fans who never in a million years thought that it will end in such a cheap, unimaginative way..

Everyone who says Red John is not McAllister is right.  Red John is really Timothy Carter. He only faked his death. He moved over to ABC and married a Trophy Wife named Kate.  The reason Timothy Carter didn't exist before 2006 is because he was living as Pete Harrison.

Okay people, Get over it, McAllister is Red John. Let it go. I mean I'm a hard core Mentalist fan but some of you people are delusional. Do you know how idiotic some of you sound. "Red john is actually the man playing with the girl by the dinosaur slide" or "Red John is Partridge but now he dresses like a woman feeding pigeons."
