THE THEORIES

Now I don't know whether we should consider this a clue, but did anyone else notice the boxes in the storage-room where Bertram goes in 6.07?

In two different scenes you can see boxes saying "Shand Creek" and "Seven Graces", Valley winery/cafe, both addressed in Napa Valley.

And if you recall, both of these places were featured in episodes that had Sheriff McAllister in them. And not to mention the wine bottles in the room and Bertram's id named to a "Thomas".

What are your thoughts about this?

Since day one when the list was revealed I
was in the Bertram camp..... but after viewing this weeks episode, I have to
admit i might be changing my vote.  I mean it still could be bertram and I
would be happy if it was, but it all seems to obvious to be him.  The way
things are playing out I think he is a top guy in TT but not red john.

Red John is indeed McAllister, for a few reasons.

 - he has been there since the beginning which would make sense.

-  faking his death and killing jane would be the ultimate victory

-  red john brought the bomb into the house on his person,  probably
in his Sheriffs hat...  that is why stiles and haffner were killed... they
were closest to it. It would easy to bring in a body and fake DNA records for a
guy like red john.

- Jane calls out Bertram in the media because he really thinks he is red john,
or more likely, he gets the CBI shut down and the FBI chasing a red herring so
he can take out red john one on one.

- watch the promo, the guy going through the window, they guy jane chases
through the cemetery, the guy walking down the church aisle, the comparision of
hands photo.. all point to McAllister

- Jane is in the church waiting for Red john...  the look on his face
is  because he knows the end is coming and what he has to do.

from what we know through interviews and the promo.... next weeks episode could play out like this.... it
starts in the church, follows him through the graveyeard and eventually meets
up in a park where the end will occur... and if it isn't Bertram somewhere in
between all this he meets up with Jane and their story is concluded.....

anyway just some thoughts.... more importantly I hope we get answers to the
many questions that  been created through the years....

It's HIM. Shitty CBS has just fucked up the RJ's true identity with their promo.

This will probably be my last "not-a-theory" in this website, as the BIG REVEAL approaches there is not much left to say. I just want to make a few comments about theories i've been reading here, so...

About the explosion: Even the writers said that the bomb took out a lot of suspects, we even see a foot on the ground, its very unlikely that everyone survived the blast (as some people believe), one of the writers even said "That is not a rubber foot, there is dead people in the room". I guess the bomb was in McAllistair's hat, in the couch, that could have blow the hell pieces out of Haffner and Stiles.

:: QUESTION: What about the shot and the car leaving Jane's house when Lisbon arrives? Who was in the car?

About RJ voice at Red John's Promo: People who are saying that its Bob Kirkland's voice around 0:19 promo, ITS NOT, cmon, that is not the voice of any suspects on the list (thats weird, since RJ is probably one of them), that we will have to wait and see, also, Bob Kirkland was shot SIX TIMES in the back, he is the ONLY ONE we actually see dying.

Brett Partridge: Yes, i was one of the people who wanted Partridge to be Red John, he would be an amazing Red John, Plotnick's performance is outstanding, but, we also see him dying and Cho checked his body (Ok, he did not look the face, but imagina how STUPID would be if RJ is Partridge and Cho having to say "Damn, i should have checked his face  -_-" ), so, sadly, i guess Partridge is really dead.

Bertram: I dont think he is Red John, at this point its too obvious and as one of the writers said "in the Mentalist there is always another twist", he is most likely the head of Blake Association, but no "the man" himself.

At the promo all indicates to McAllister, even Nick Nordella who is portraying a Young Man (possibly Young RJ) is the spitting imagine of a younger Xander (McAllister), but if they foolish put RJ at the promo, that was a bad mistake ;( took out all the mystery. But still, that was not McAllister's voice as well.

Only to conclude i want to say that i hope everyone enjoy the end of RJ saga, its been amazing so far and i really enjoyed discussing so many theorys with everyone here for so many time.

So.. Sunday its the day!! Bring it on! Let's finally see the true face of our (mine) favorite serial killer in all times.

It has become disappointingly obvious by now that Red John is the "dead" McAllister.
McAllister, whom I'd rather name with an extended monologue:
"BRUNO HELLER: I can't really use Partridge anymore. They figured him out too quickly in season 2. Besides, I need someone who looks more powerful. I ran around for three more seasons and pretended that I knew where to go with it, but I finally need to choose a new Red John now. Hmm. Well, I guess I'll just pick any random season 1 male character. Eeny-meeny... Oh, yeah, this guy looks good. Who's that? A hick sheriff, just like on 'Profiler'! Ha! They'll never guess THAT!"
So why that non-choice of McAllister? Several reasons, but one of them is because Bruno Heller has been, to put it gently, following the older series "Profiler" for a few years, and Profiler's Jack was eventually "revealed" as a redneck sheriff as well. (Incidentally, Jack was supposed to be someone completely different when the show started... just as was the case with "The Mentalist". The difference was that Profiler's creator left and took his idea with him, while Bruno Heller stayed with The Mentalist - he just didn't decide whom to pick sooner).
Shame. Bertram would have been perfect, and such a satisfying choice for Red John.
Instead, we get an idiot drawling hick who LITERALLY couldn't win a game of rock-paper-scissors. Now watch this space to hear a convoluted "explanation" next week, about how it was only Red John's ingenious act, how he only pretended to lose to Jane, how he can imitate voices so well that the hick accent was all too easy for him to do for years, every day... (which will probably also be the dumb and convoluted "explanation" for Red John's different phone voice). Yecch.
(ONCE I'd like to see a show in which the twist is that there is NO twist. Bertram looks guilty now, so most viewers expect a final twist in the next episode... and there WILL be a stupid twist, with McAllister being named Red John next week. But what a nice idea it would be for a change to reveal that... there IS no twist, that Bertram IS Red John.
Every D-grade movie and series wants to have a pointless twist now. Having NO final twist would at least be original! Especially when the twist is as lame as a random redneck sheriff.)
