Holy fuck...please kill me.
Holy fuck...please kill me.
Only one way to save this soap opera now:
It was clear to the FBI (as well as to all of us) that Mcallister couldn't be red john
They knew it had to be Jane (multiple reasons have been listed 1000 times)
That's why they bring him back to the country with the excuse the FBI desperately needs him (who would buy that anyway.. it's the freaking FBI)
They've been trying to push him so he would crack / make a wrong move all along (probably his moves followed by someone from the FBI, Lisbon not likely in on this - higher up)
That'd be why Abbott doesn't really care about the BA list
Pike going after Lisbon / potentially taking her away could be a first attempt at this
The death of a team member would be another attempt for him to crack
Clearly another psychic who wants to stop a serial killer and goes on tv to stop him is over the top so Jane finally kills the guy - and writes 'fake'
The wedding could go ahead and they could catch him or not - but maybe we will see jane drawing a red smiley face in one of the last scenes
Bruno saying that Jane is not red john wouldn't be a big deal since those would be 2 split personalities of a disordered guy (none of them are real) - so technically Jane (personality) would not be red john
This is the only way seasons 6 and 7 would make any sense - as a plot to catch Jane - hopefully they'll get it right - answer tomorrow..
So this is it the grand finale....
I think Jane being Red John is our last hope at a great ending.
Jane is a master manipulator and has gotten away with murder twice.
I think he even hypnotized Abbot into forgetting about the Ba Usb.
Remember that was what Abbot wanted from Jane and i also i remember Jane always tapping Abbot on the arm just like he does to hypnotize people....
What if all that Haibach stuff was Jane?
The cbi Hitlist and murder of Ardilles and La Roche was NOT done by Haibach.
And if you remember Jane was jeleous Lisbon was with Ardilles and Jane also told Rigsby and Van Pelt to include La Roche bc he owed Jane a favor...
-fast forward to now.
Wiley gets hit and remembers old beer. How can someone smell like old beer by just being in a brewery for a moment?
Jane was drunk that night and alone....
Maybe Bosco whispered to Jane "i know its you".....
I posted the following on the Mentalist FB page as an adieu to the show we all love. Let them know how frustrated we are:

Dear mister Heller,
There are so many ways you could have chosen to finish out the show, instead of the regrettable path you chose. Let's consider a few of your options:
#1. Have the remainder of season 6 and season 7 focus on Jane decoding coded list on the USB and hunting down the remaining BA members. As he caught each one, you could have them reveal (in a flashback) a small piece of the work they did for Red John, thus tying up the loose ends and clues you dropped throughout the series.
#2. The "psychic" Gabriel said Jane will only receive closure through the number "3". Jane has killed 2 Red Johns so far. What if you made the 3rd one the real Red John? RJ could either kill Lisbon on their wedding night (allusion to Frankenstein - we all know how you love your references), and Jane could kill him in the finale. Or you could just end the series with a red smiley face and leave us to imagine how Jane would pursue him. Or you could continue the story on another network in the rumored season 8 (more money for you!)
#3. Have Jane and Lisbon get their happy ever after. Then as we fade to black, it cuts to a scene of Red John keeping Jane in a comatose state in a small room (like Kristina Frye). Everything after the bomb in Jane's house was a fiction that Red John implanted in Jane's mind to give him peace. Have you seen Repo Man? Like that.
#4. Have Jane realize that he was Red John all along - that he's had a split personality disorder. He woke up in the field with no memory of how he got there, and we find Gabriel dead? Maybe Jane did it.
This is not my day job; I find it difficult to believe that a highly paid team of writers couldn't come up with something like this.
For future reference, it might be a good idea to listen to your actors. Simon Baker knows Patrick Jane is a tragic character - the man has been playing him for how many years now? You could also have handed the reins over to Baker before the fiasco of seasons 6 and 7.
#2, #3, or #4 are still possible. Of course, we all know they'll never materialize - you have to cater to the contigent of insipid "OMG JANE AND LISBON WEDDING" fans, of which there seem to be an abundance on this page.
It's just a crying shame the way a once-brilliant show has been mangled.
So...Maybe I'm just getting bored after season 6 and 7 which are quite uneventful when compared with the 5 others... Or maybe I'm just wishing for a finale that is as twisted, original and surprising as the whole show but, here's what I think, or at least the start of it: I've read Theresa90's theory, which seemed a bit far-fetched at the time, I must confess. But then, THEN, I realized a few things in yesterday's episode which actually sustain this theory... Especially the most far-fetched points!! Here are the things I noticed :
First: The one that got killed was a 'psychic'... And we all know Jane doesn't believe in psychics and even despises them. Strangely enough, Gabriel got killed because he was a 'fake', as written on his arm... Now, isn't it strange that the guy that Jane is apparently the only one to despise should die exactly when Jane feels insecure enough to spend nights away from Lisbon?
Second: There always seem to be an event triggering the murders linked to Red John. Now, I thought a lot about what the number 3 could mean... As I'm sure you also did. Well, what if 3 referred to Jane and Lisbon + a baby? Some seem to think Lisbon is pregnant, basing themselves on a photo of the finale... That's a thin clue, but lets imagine she is... We're sure Jane would know before she even tells him, right?I will conclude those two points with a Theresa90's observation about narcissism... Don't you think that the fact that a 'psychic' would be right about the number 3 is enough of a reason for a highly clever killer struggling with narcissism to kill?
I also thought about that second personality... And I remembered the moment Jane woke up in the grass and when he told Abbott he had no idea where he was...
Anyway... That's thin, I know but, I'm really hopping for a massive surprise in the finale!
Do You see how Patrick Jane looks at the moon? Do You remember that moment with Lisbon in camper when he wasn't sleeping? Day before They had to capture hitman in hotel. I feel that his speach was about what will come in the final episode. Lisbon had not understood what he was talking about at all. He was more talking with himself then with her.
I doubt I was the only one praying for a smiley face on the wall in that last scene
