THE THEORIES

“Red John thinks of himself as an artist, a showman, he has a strong sense of theater” and “Red John wouldn't risk capture just to taunt me.”
- Patrick Jane , Pilot episode.

“I am pretty sure Red John is not a woman”
- Patrick Jane, Season 6 episode 1

The assignment "Red John" was given to the serial killer by the police and public. The nickname itself deceives us from the first episode, making us assume blindly that Red John is definitely male. Kristina Frye is both a strong mental mastermind and a persona fitting the serial killer's identity. She shook hands with Patrick, she was erased from the equation in the most sloppy way possible (Comparing it to Patrick's thoroughness) and she found numerous opportunities to mock and play with Patrick in a friendly way. She was "abducted" by Red John and the similarities to things Red John minions have said are immense.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y97GV22SVWk @2:40 Last thing we ever heard of Kristina.

There's no real proof that the so-called list of 7 suspects includes Red John and frankly excluding all female suspects was the biggest goof in my eyes. Kristina Frye remains the most probable suspect for myself and I'd be really delighted if she indeed is Red Johnette.

In the pilot Jane says, “Red John thinks of himself as an artist, a showman, he has a strong sense of theater” and “Red John wouldn’t risk capture just to taunt me.” hmmmmm...

Personally, I was very upset and displeased with the Red John reveal.  You spent how many years and hours devoted to the Mentalist, only to have this crappy closure about Red John.  I can not for the life of me even imagine that Bruno Heller can honestly say,     "Yep, that sums it up perfectly".  He wrote so well and perfectly the entire series with many hooks and plot twists that this ending seems so hurried, simple, weak and without any flair; not Bruno like.
I admit that I wanted to see the devil himself walk through the door and be this amazing character (Red John) that is the biggest bad you could ever imagine, but alas it didnt happen.  We the fans deserve better than a 10 minute Jane vs Red John ending.  I enjoy reading and watching good shows with quality writing and when crap like this happens it is infact a huge letdown.  My only hope is that this is all a farce and that there is more to come.  Sadly, I know in reality that this is the worst ending we all could have imagined.

Unfortunately, I think the leaked episode is the real one. Sure it was disappointing even if the suspect was my favourite. Seems like the pigeon theories were right :)

Just to say that I wasn't disappointed by the identity of real john, but by the way he has been revealed. Abolutely all the questions remain without answers, like if the episode was done in a rush.

What the fuck was that pigeon attack???? Seriously? This was Jane's genius plan to beat RJ? The Great Red Dragon was a great Episode I wish I didn't see this one. Thank you Heller for throwing us a trash like that.

HELLER where the fuck is your promise that all will make sense and that it will be different that the ending of Lost?

I hated the ending of Lost but now I am reconsidering my point of vue, it is a masterpiece comapairing to what I saw today.
