It's so obviously Grace.
It's so obviously Grace.
Well I figured out who Red John is a few weeks ago, but now I just confirmed it (read to the end). I've read all the theories and did not make my own because I didn't want it to have any holes like the others.
Grace has red hair - obvious clue. Now the fact she is away at some computer class thing is suspicious, but not as suspicious as the fact the writers decide to have Rigsby randomly ask Cho on the radio what he thinks she is doing. They joke about it, but why else include that. Obviously this is not enough but I have plenty more. The next thing is I've watched a fair share of TV shows to know how they set stuff up. It would clearly be too boring to have it as one of the department heads of the CBI, or that FBI Brett goon. It would be wild if it was Jane himself, and I gave this a fair shake - the smiley face really does look like him. That would be a little to movie-ish and extreme, but perhaps the writers will use it as a back up. Perhaps they will have to now that I'm uncovering this. But I'm sure they will disclose Red John in an upcoming episode. Anyway there have been many instances where Grace walks in late to work with some phony excuse, and they focus on her with no background noise, very suspicious like. They do this in a lot of shows and it's really subtle. Obviously Grace being Red John is also really unexpected and exciting to please the viewers.
Anyway here's the solid proof you want. Any good TV show or movie that prolongs a character (character delay) for a good long while and makes the character of utmost importance, must attach meaning to the character's name. Usually this comes in the form of scrambled letters. In literature, names have symbolism, just read Death of a Salesman. To make a corny example, the last name of a tough character might be Hardman (Daniel Hardman in suits). Or a fair character may be Alan Balanco (made that one up). But when the character is REALLY important, they tend to scramble the letters, for more of a riddle effect. So we know Patrick Jane comes from a carnival background (too soon?). Now we've seen the closest link, Laurel-eye (she sees Red John, hence the "eye"), getting it? So anyway she is killed in a carnival setting. And the smiley has more blood dripping in the face, because we are getting closer - either Red John trying to hide or some other symbolism - more real, not sure. In any case, if you mix up Grace Van Pelt, you will find not the word Carnival but instead "CARNEVALE", the classic literature form of Carnival. So not only do they put the word carnival, but they use the dramatic form. I cannot see any better solidified proof than this, other shows included. Just imagine Jane saying "CARNEVALE" very dramatically. I'm sure you will one day. It's a nice tough I will say, and it doesn't ruin it one bit for me. My favorite show ever, deservedly so. Good night friends.
I used to think it was Grace because she has red hair. But now I don't think so any more. I realize that theory is as stupid as her character is stupid. She is so stupid. She is the worst kind on person because she thinks she is not stupid, but she is exceptionally stupid. She is just another pawn in Red John's arsenal.
I confirmed this theory by watching and re-watching all the available episodes on reruns, thanks to TNT. And I would really like comcast to put the episodes on-demand so I can watch the recent ones again. Grace's character is so stupid. The only other one who is almost as stupid as Grace is stupid is Wayne. Wayne and the whole baby storyline is stupid. And what about the mother of his child? Another example of a stupid woman. She's educated but that does not equal intelligence. She is stupid.
Kristina Frye = stupid. Madeleine Hightower = stupid. Teresa Lisbon = stupid. They put up with Jane and his antics. I realize this is TV. But why are these characters so stupid? They should be smart but they are stupid. They only go along with Jane because they are so stupid that they can't think their way out of a paper bag.
What I would like to see and would wholeheartedly support is a crossover episode. Mr. Finch's machine could spit out a number and then John would come to town and take out Red John in some clever way. Then we could be free of the stupid Red John. Then Patrick Jane would decide to stay with the CBI and just go back to his clever way of solving mysteries.
I'm reminded of the line from the movie, "Stand by Me," where one of the friends says while around a campfire, "Do you guys notice how they never seem to get anywhere on 'Wagon Train?' They just keep wagon training."
That's what this Red John thing is like. It seems to be dragging on and on and on. Maybe Red John and 'The Mentalist' will be revealed to be only in Patrick Jane's head à la Pam Ewing in 'Dallas' (The whole eighth season on Dallas, and apparently all five seasons of 'The Mentalist'). Maybe Patrick Jane is and has been in a mental institution since the death of his family. This has been a dream. I hope not.
I think Van Pelt has some connection with Red John…
I watched Red Rum episode in
Season 1, where a boy will be murdered by some sort of sacred rituals, when
Jane and his team goes to the site where the boy has been murdered, we get a
close up shot of Van Pelt’s face when they see the body (they will show only
her face) and we can see that she is disturbed a lot. And there is another
scene in the same episode where Van Pelt instructs the football coach on how to
move with the ball (we all know that Van Pelt’s father was a football coach)
This scene meant nothing to me
until I watched Red Barn (Season 5) where we hear that the 3 guys performed
some sort of rituals with farm animals. Red John killed two guys because they
were performing some sort of rituals.
I think Van Pelt is Red John’s
daughter, remember? Jane and Van Pelt joined together in CBI.
When Red John case was handed over
to Bosco, Jane felt very bad and finally when Rebecca kills Bosco and his team,
Jane asks why she did it, she tells, “So that you can have the case back”.
Let me tell you the significance of that
statement, only when Jane has the case back Van Pelt gets to know all the
information directly because she is in Lisbon’s team and she can pass it to RJ.
van pelt also has the same number of letters as red john, GVP also has red hair
I think Red Jonh is Van Pelt for this:
-Jane is a boy...then Jonh is a girl.
-Her hair is a beautiful red and it is what we first draw our attention at...
-A tomboy that grew with brothers and become a police oficer.
-Van Pelt means something like "fur or someone that trades skins or animal fur."To trade skins(like a killer trading parts\playing parts).
So here we have a Red Jonh vs a blond Jane.
I know she isn't old enough or a man but she has something to do with Red John she join around the time Jane started. MAYBE Red John made her file perfect so they they would want her on the team to keep tabs on Jane because it show Rigsby looking at her file he was like "shes cute" and bang she was on the team perfect trap plus she was the first one jane shook hands with
