I'm wondering if bertram fits as "he is mar" - looking at the m again it could be read as an attempt at a b. my only concern is how he smells of pine, nails and earth (which sounds more like mcalister)

Maybe all the capital letters mean something?

Before the list my two suspects were Mashburn or Bertram. Mashburn was a suspect for the money/resources and the free time to kill people and Bertram was a suspect for his police connections. I am left with Bertram as a suspect.

Like many of you I was puzzled with the strange meeting Bertram had with Kirkland about trusting Teresa. However now it makes sense. Kirkland was trying to identify people in the tiger tiger society by pretending to be one of them (meeting with Reed Smith). So Robert Kirkland probably told Bertram Tyger Tyger but Bertram being Red John knew that he was not in the TT society. 
Also remember when Rebecca told Jane that RJ wanted him back on the case so he wanted Bosco dead. All supervisors that were between Bertram and Jane were either killed or moved away so Bertram /RJ could be closer to PJ.

My only problem with Bertram is the timing. How would someone in that kind of job would have the time to go on a killing spree? Also Jane had Bertram all this time under his nose and was not able to see through him. 

Yup I believe it's him. I think it was the meeting and the way he told PJ in front of the others that they should discuss Red john in private. AT first I thought he was a spy in the camp for the TT but then now after hearing about his reaction last episode I don't think so. 

Thing is he hasn't been in there from the beginning so it's kind of a cop out.  Also why does he have a tattoo so obvious and glaring. I don't know I don't think this is going to be explained well. it's very rushed already and only two episodes left.

Where does he get the bloody time to be red john he musn't do any of the murders himself. Looking back on him demoting Haffner it is kinda obvious that Haffner moved to visualize because of RJ's connections.

All these clues we are getting...I see someone saying they seen the sheriff belt, well you probably did, I bet it was the actor playing Haffner that saved Jane that time. It wouldn't surprise me if it was the actor who played Partridge dressed in drag, feeding the pigeons. ALl those clues where put in there to confuse us and they did the job.

I don't now I kinda feel cheated, Bertram is bald, his voice is still left to be seen. Lets see if he can pull it off. I think they should have gone with shock value with Rigbsy or even Haffner or Stiles would have been better. hell bring partridge back from the dead, anything to make Red John the legend we hope he is

why does it keep changing my names to ones I don't pick? oh well you can view my previous theory's on the names Red-John666 and abdulruhman or something like that. i didnt pick it. any ways bertram is my top pick, though its always possible to be anybody. he's the right age,51, which would make him 25-26 on Elliston farm. the age at which most serial killers begin killing. knocking out Smith, Stiles, and possibly haffner because they're too young or old. mcallister could be the dark horse here but my bets on Bertram.

though i do think haffner/partridge/or mcallister and bertram have a partnership where one of the 3,hpc, saved jane season 2 finale and kills on bertrams command while bertrams is the one who killed jane's wife and daughter as well as all those women.
