Ok forget the All the Rj craziness that makes no sense.
How about the usb and the list Abbott wanted Jane to decode.
It was a major plot line with Jane getting a Job with the fbi and avoid jail if he did this.
They never mentioned it again!
They have never said what happened to visualize after Styles died, god the list goes on.

But my point is this, dont you get the feeling they left room for different outcomes in the show but obviously chose the gay route?
Season 6 especially could of gone any other way. Literally.
All the clues meant nothing other than someone is the boss of this group.

If the actress that played Lorelie wasnt filming some movie during Mentalist season then maybe she could of been used more...
Maybe if whoever played Kristina Freye didnt ask for more money then she could of been involved..get me?

Even Simon Baker agreed this show should end in tragedy..

Baker also has said he wished he could of had the freedom of cable networks to really dig into the character of Red John. Im paraphrasing.

Dean Harken is the brother of Harker Rosalind (theoretically).  Harker Rosalind had an illness that led to her going blind.  Ruskin-Jane could be translated to mean Red John.  Ruskin is a surname that  may be of early medieval English origin, and is a diminutive of the female given name "Rose, Royse", popularly associated with the flower, but in fact originally from a Germanic personal name. This is recorded in the Domesday Book of 1086 in the form "Rothais", composed of the elements "hrod", renown, and "haid(is)", kind, sort. Rosekin (without surname) is noted in the 1220 Feet of Fines of Essex. Jane is a feminine form of the name Johannes (like Johannes Sebastian Bach).  It is also a source for the English name John.  Hence, red john is Ruskin-Jane.   Dean Harken is looking for revenge, because Harker  Rosalind is the girl that Jane scammed - as a child.  Her grandma thought she was getting cured, so she stopped the medical treatment.  Harker goes blind, and it is Jane's fault.  Dean swears revenge.Dean Harken killed some people, so he could get ready to exact revenge.  He had been dreaming of killing, and he killed the first group that got in his way.  They were drugging him.  Dean was known as the smiley face killer, until he had "Orval Tanner" tell everybody his name.  Dean probably thought he could frame Jane for a murder.  Nobody knew about the murders on the red barn, so he had to commit more.  Once Dean found Jane's name, he tracked him down.  He got into visualize, and he does private security ( for rich people).  He can track people down.  The family knows the name of the circus, and tracked Jane down.  Jane starts trying to solve the murders, and Dean thinks his plan has backfired.  He sends in Orval Tanner to tell everybody that the killer is Red John.  Tanner is a name that is the same as Ruskin.  Dean Harken change orval Tanner's family name, so it could look like he was in cahoots with the Ruskins & Janes.  McAllister visits Harker Rosalind - which probably is a fake name, so she can't be traced back to Dean.  Dean is very meticulous & careful.  The Ruskins work with the big metal - which Dean Harken knows from stalking the Ruskin-Janes.  Dean creates cut iron or tagliaferro to trap Jane, and make him meet harker Rosalind. 

He could be Harker Rosalind's brother.  Harker could the little girl whose family was scammed by Jane's.  Dean Harken could be trying to track down Jane, and murder his family.  Harker rosalind could have became blind, because she was trying to get cured & Jane scammed her.  Harker Rosalind might be her real name, and Dean Harken changed his last name.  He is working for a security firm, so he could probably have friends in the FBI as well as the CBI.  The clue He is Mar . . . could have been HAR for Harken.

Wow, Heller is a money grabbin fraud, didn't see that coming. If he had chosen whatever any other character for RJ, no one probably would care about 'the Profiler' resemblance. But he decided to fuck everybody with this crap. I dont give a rat ass if in my blue heaven Patrick gets a phonecall from cho that lisbon been raped and gutted and there is a smiley on her forhead.

I have no idea who Dean Harken is. But if you listen carefully to RJ's voice, Lebron James travels. Seriously, it's the same voice as Peter Griffin whispering.

After last night's CBS "snafu" of showing a Mentalist repeat to most of the country, I'm pretty certain I know who Red John is.....

He's an psychotic executive at CBS who chooses to cover his tracks by showing as little of the Mentalist as possible to us viewers. Think about it: "Sports Delays", Playing the wrong episodes this close to the series finale, moving the show to a late, Sunday night time slot to shed viewers.......

These are all attempts to mislead and obscure the truth! Red John is so purely evil that I would bet he's behind such critical flops such as the 'Good Wife' and 'Hostages'. Oh, I don't think Dean Harken is Red John, -of all the choices, he looked the most like a sociopathic, network executive mass-murder!

Bonus theory: I think Visualize is somehow involved because have you ever noticed the creepy resemblance between the CBS and Visualize 'eyeball' logos?
