THE THEORIES

As per the advanced review clue that a long gone character would make an appearance, here are some people I would love to see make a comeback because they could provide more insight or because their is more about their story I'd love to learn...

Brenda Shettrick-  the dirty reporter who gave intel to Tommy Volker has some 'splaining to do.  Is she really just going to get away with all of it?

Alex Jane- I just want to hear more about Patrick Jane's past, specifically, whatever became of Patrick's mother?  We've never heard anything about her, not even a mention.

Rosalind Harker- you all know you want to hear from her again, especially those of you who recommend she pat down the suspects in a lineup.

Lorelie Martins- I've always suspected she wasn't really dead.  How the body of the supposed Martins was laid out in a carnival scene just screamed red flags!

J.J. LaRoche- he gathered quite a bit of intel while investigating the burning detainee at the CBI, but we never learned what he discovered.  He just disappeared.

Walter Mashburn- so he can be killed off and people stop saying he's Red John.

When the 5 suspects are lifting up their shirts, Bret Stiles has SOMETHING on his left shoulder that looks quite a bit like the Red John smiley face.  Take a look at the scene again.  If you use this link...

I think Red John is a Dr.Jekyll/Mr Hyde character who on the surface is a well respected, calm, charismatic individual. Underneath, his shadow side is a demented, serial killer.
Bret Stiles is dying ( I believe this a symbolic death) He's been fighting his shadow self and it's killing him. Red John is emerging.
Bret Stiles is powerful, enigmatic, manipulative and has limitless resources and brain washed followers. As a cult leader he's the ideal villain.

He's a schizophrenic mastermind lunatic and a fabulous actor!  And quite possibly Patrick Jane's biological daddy.

Firstly, Let me describe how the Last Episode Ended, Patrick Jane was in the room of his residence with all the last 5 possible suspects who could be Red John. Jane had a leverage that Tensely told her before she was expired by RED JOHN that he has 3 Black dots on his Shoulder. No one was willing to remove his shirt in the room, so Jane had to force them so he pulled out his Shotgun and asked all them to slide down their weapons onto the carpet and then slowly remove the shirt. Ray Heffner is clean, Stiles is clean. But there are 3 dots on Sheriff Thomas’s shoulder. Stiles point that Gail Bertram and Reede Smith has 3 dots too. Jane asks these 3 to stand against the wall. Then an outside view of room is shown and a single gunshot is heard, Lisbon reaches the Site and as she approaches near the room a BLAST occurs BOOM!!!!Let us just focus on only those 3 suspects who had the red spots. Now the possible predictions:-

1.
The shot which was fired was clearly from the shotgun, not from the pistol he had kept with him as a secondary weapon. Maybe the shotgun he had, just had some fake bullets or some rubber bullets. And no one was killed by that shot, was used just to scare them to utter the truth. As its clear that Reede Smith is involved with RED JOHN for sure as he killed Bob kirkland. This fake bullet trick might have been set for him. And then all went out of room and let Reede Smith die with a gas explosion so that Jane remains safe and his revenge fulfills.
Personally, I don’t think this happened.
2.       The Guy who can read minds, solve huge cases with a blink of an eye, and judge people’s behavior might have done some research and deep thinking regarding “WHO COULD BE RED JOHN” and when all suspects were in the room, he just SHOT the REAL RED JOHN and left the room with others and did a explosion so that it looks like an accident.
3.       Considering the fact that RED JOHN is in the room, Jane had nothing left with him in this world and his ultimate goal was to take revenge for his wife and daughters death. So he finds this as the first and last chance to catch RED JOHN and kill him. And he does that by doing an explosion in the room.Patrick Jane committing suicide? NO way and one more thing … 2 of them were innocent who didn’t even had the black dots. This prediction seems pointless to me.. But still you never know….
4.       The most important one, what if Red john is someone else…. And these Black Dots on shoulder just mean the people who are working for Red john?  As at many places Gail was seen talking to someone on phone and telling the other gut on phone that Jane is digging deeper and deeper into the RED JOHN CASE …. And what if the Black Dots on shoulder was some sign of Training or some Course which the Police Officials did and those three suspects had those because of it. And Red john was someone else…………… And that gunshot was just to force suspects speak the truth …. And that Explosion could have been the RED JOHN’s plan, killing all the suspects with Patrick Jane under one roof. As he was already killing the suspects one by one….
DO COMMENT BELOW AND TELL US WHAT YOU THINK…….. WHAT MORE PREDICTIONS COULD BE THERE……

Last week I posted my guess/theory on who the serial killer might be. Since CBS messed up with the broadcast of episode 122 (extremely disrespectful to all fans and viewers) not all were able to see it. The theory has received an 84% plausibe against a 16% unlikely week vote. =)

As I said, I have watched in the past month all 122 episodes. This week I have rewatched all Red John related episodes including those where any of the final suspects show up. I have also taken into acount some of the theories I have read over here (A lot of thinking out there) while rewatching. =)

Two considerations: First, this is a fictional police procedural series. So the producers and writers can end up this case any way they like. Second, my guess is only based on the 122 episodes aired until now. I do not stop reading a book in the middle of it, to read others, to then guess how the first one ends. A great story must explain itself. =)

My guess: Partridge appears in the very first episode (S01E01) describing a copycat crime scene as Red John´s. Patrick calls him ghoul, irksome, fangoria fan. I will give you that, he is a special character in the show, but only that. He is killed (S06E01) and dies telling Lisbon "tyger-tyger" (No, lisbon does not belong to the clan, and no, either she has a tattoo) Patrick tells Lisbon his blood was used to draw a smile on her face (S06E02) Partridge is the perfect cover up member, as a forensic agent, for the crimes committed by the Law Enforcement Mafia.

McAllister loses infinite times rock paper scissors to Patrick (A very funny scene S01E02) Red John is so damn clever, so he said. McAllister is revealed to have the tattoo thus being a member of the Law Enforcement Mafia (S06E06).

Kirkland is killed in the Red Listed episode (S06E04) by Smith who we know now is part of the organization (S06E04 and S06E06) Besides in The Crimson Ticket (S05E01) Smith is played and heated up by Patrick making him confront Cho, even fighting him. So, Kirkland the creepy character reveals us many things before he dies. There is a Law Enforcement Mafia. He has a twin brother. His brother is a Red John´s accomplice (S05E18). Red John requested Kirkland´s twin brother devotion and sacrifice (S06E04). He is also after Red John.

Bertram, he who is many things to many people, is part of the Law Enforcement Mafia (S06E01 S06E02 S06E06) He also is a very special character of the show, but not Red John.

The weird man/woman (S06E02) feeding the pigeons. If it is suposed to be a clue this happens right after Patrick meets Bertram, McAllister and Smith (the great red dragon) so must be related to Red John. Not afraid of pigeons. He personally killed Partridge. He is close, very close, in desguise. =)

All this leaves me with a question when Bret Stiles promises he will return (S06E06): How does Michael Kirkland look today?

Theory #9511 • By Totally engaged =)

42 people find it plausible
8 people find it unlikely

I have watched in the past month all 122 episodes, which makes me a serious Mentaddict. =)
------------------------------------------------------
-Spoiler for those who did not watched "Fire and Brimstone"-
At the end of the episode the 5 remaining suspects are separated into two groups. Those who have the tattoo(3) and those who do not(2).

Episode 123 is called "The Great Red Dragon" where the law enforcement mafia will be revealed. Then the three tattooed suspects will be discarted.

Episode 124, "Red John" one of the remaining two will be revealed as the serial killer.
------------------------------------------------------

Ok, I believe that is the storyline of the series.

Bret Stiles will be revealed as Red John "the mind" and Michael Kirkland "the body".

My guess: The law enforcement mafia has used Red John as a cover up for commiting some crimes. The day Red John saves Patrick revealing the tyger tyger poem, he needs Jane´s help. Red John feeds him to help him uncover the mafia who are using his signature to commit some crimes. Being Brett Partridge the ideal member to cover up the leads. Red John kills him first as a call to the mafia "I know who you are and I am after you". Reason why they really need to find him first. They need to shut him up before Red John reveals not all the murders where commited by himself nor his accomplice. Red John loves Patrick as a father-son love. He killed his wife and daughter not to punish him but to convert him into a killer, which he already has by killing Red John´s bait.
Michael Kirkland "the body" is Red John, or if you want to see it in another way, he is Red John´s main assasin. He fits in size and description to most leads given. Bret Stiles "the mind" is Red John. He fits all the cleverness to be always ahead of Patrick.

Well, in two weeks we will see, until then... =)

hi guys!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u_Vei8Vpi64

What do you think of this? Why'd Bruno Heller include this?

And also, I think the  cryptic clue in episode 1 of season 6 was the "666" on the wall. This number is the number of the beast, which is also a painting by William Blake.

Pretty sure Bret Stiles was whistling the end part of the verse from "Oh My Darling, Clementine"

The song is about a bereaved lover singing about his darling, the daughter of a "49er" (a miner in the 1849 California Gold Rush) -- but also another interesting FOOTBALL theme

The singer loses Clementine in a drowning accident [I have thought there's a WATER theme going on and/or I've wondered about RJ and a FEAR of water]  -- and the singer himself tells that he could not save her because he could not swim

THE LYRICS ARE:

In a cavern, in a canyon/Excavating for a mine/Dwelt a miner forty niner/And his darling Clementine.

Oh my darling, oh my darling/Oh my darling, Clementine!/Thou art lost and gone forever/Dreadful sorry, Clementine

Drove she ducklings to the water/Ev'ry morning just at nine/Hit her foot against a splinter/Fell into the foaming brine.

Ruby lips above the water/Blowing bubbles, soft and fine/But, alas, I was no swimmer/So I lost my Clementine.

Oh my darling, oh my darling,
Oh my darling, Clementine!
Thou art lost and gone forever
Dreadful sorry, Clementine

How I missed her! How I missed her,
How I missed my Clementine,
But I kissed her little sister,
I forgot my Clementine.

Oh my darling, oh my darling,
Oh my darling, Clementine!
Thou art lost and gone forever
Dreadful sorry, Clementine
