I think they could run the show for some more time. i know it is tough really to form a new life for Jane after as much he has gone through..but come-on, he is PJ for some reason..he can defeat the odds and arrive in some cool jeans and t-shirt eventually....
on a more serious note, I think that it is very difficult to make any predictions as it has been left very open ended by the writers..there is even a chance of E=RJ coming back.....so only time could tell..

p.....i am not gonna say that out loud but he was my RJ suspect always..hehe..
i have a theory brewing in my mind.....but i dnt want to raise expectations, mine or anyone else's..chicken?
1- Heller is not a retard or dumb person to nt have a satisfactory ending
2- If he cant give u all 20 closures on the RJ thingie like his being a Jane-like person, charismatic, tea drinker, barn in 1980s, rosalind harker and all, he may still cud have given 5.
3- But he chose not to give even 1 - tht is a statement and not due to time constraints or creativity constraints
4- He made it a point to show RJ as a dumb-ass. PJ commented "I am a lil disappointed". He made it a point to show tht RJ was a afraid person. He was a coward.
These are facts and not assumptions or assertions. Where do they lead us?
IMHO Heller decided that he was not gonna showcase RJ as a big deal. Of-course he got this thinking only towards the time when the reveal was imminent. Earlier, he wanted to glorify him. Now, I may be inclined to think that in the ensuing 5 months he might have thought and thought again and may change his mind if the theories here who say RJ would be resurrected are to be believed.
The only thing that is important here right now is that whether these ppl have a will to keep the show going for 1 more season. It will be a shame really as it is/was such a great show.
no no no no guys..so u know it, i tell u that I hate to have had such a lame ending to the RJ saga..alright..whatever the reason be that is......but hey, I am right now watching season 3 episode where VP thinks she might have left the door on a witness open which got him killed..and just then, there is PJ with all his mojo in this episode and he gets me ..i mean apart from the dark RJ facet, there is the facet of how PJ puts up a brave front in adversity and humors everyone around without sytooping low..all the class in the world and all that is good with life..so i think lets remember that..and ye, he niminght be missing that in his new post-RJ avatar and tht irks us all..
i think red john is gone now as heller wanted us to not glorify a serial killer too much. so yea we dint like it much, but we gotta move on folks..
