Who is Red John?

Theories of krobhag (25)

So IF we are getting an alternate ending, I have NO PROBLEM supposing that the list of 7 is fake.  Just saying.

Cue Mashburn....

SPOILER FREE THEORY (but includes info from previous episodes)

Leaked episode aside - because, honestly, what better way to get people to actually watch Sunday night than to allow them to wonder whether or not their download is legit - I would like to continue to theorize until Sunday night.  Until it has aired, I trust nothing.

Here is what is bugging me.  In the explosion, Haffner, Stiles, and McCallister are reported dead. The show, and Jane, have a fairly specific moral code.  If a person is baddie - even if not for the crime being investigated - if they die (or are harmed) at the hand of one of Jane's schemes, it is okay.  I cannot think of an example of an innocent dying at the hand of Jane without Jane feeling really bad about it.  He goes out of his way to protect people he has put in harms way.

So if McCallister died - that's fine.  He is a baddie, part of BA.

If Stiles died - that is also fine because he was dying anyway.

If Haffner died - that is not fine.  At this point in time we have no reason to believe he is guilty of anything but being kind of a d^&k.

So my official theory, until proven otherwise, is that Haffner is alive and may or may not be RJ.

(And I do know what happens in the leaked episode so you don't need to point out "but x happens" because I am aware.  It don't dispute that the main events of the leaked episode actually happen, but that in the final cut some scenes are added and other shortened or cut.)

Not a Ray theory but a question....

A lot of us have been theorizing that Lisbon has been bugged this season. If so, how? My initial thought would be her cross that she wears around her neck. (It would have to be a pretty tiny bug.) In terms of props, her cross is pretty much synonymous with Jane's teacup - which we know has been, um, compromised.

Is there ever a time when she is not wearing it? Has it always been the same cross? At what point would it have been bugged? If not her cross, then what else?

As a follow up, if Lisbon is bugged, it makes the PI bug seem (even more) ridiculous - likely a set up. It did set the happenings of the last two episodes in motion.

My reason for posting is to ask a question:  I don't understand the layout of Jane's house.  He enters through the front door, goes upstairs to look at the bedroom with the smiley face and then leaves through a back door, crosses a courtyard and then enters a second building.  The second building is also his because it has his safe.

Lisbon pulls up in front of the first building, presumably sees the lights of the second building through the window and runs around to get there.  But all of the suspects appear to pull right in front of the second building, no questions asked.

The second building explodes.

So, firstly, what's the deal with Jane's house?  Is there like a pool house or something?
Secondly, how would the bomber know which building to bomb?
Thirdly, how do the suspects know to go to the second building?  Jane's car is parked in front of the main house.  You would think that each person would do what Lisbon did (park in front and then walk around) rather than parking right in front of the second building.

It does make me think that either a) Jane planted the bomb himself and didn't want to blow up his main home or b) one of the suspects brought it in with him, making him an RJ associate taking one for the team thereby suggesting that RJ is not one of the 5 -- or 7? -- but rather holds a grudge against this lot.

Still don't know how they would know to go to the "pool house".

Ideas?
