Who is Red John?

Theories of Hll (89)

So, there are questions about Jane, and yet, Stoopkid has made a good point about how Jane would never kill his family.  I have to agree with that, especially considering that Jane has always seemed to have a special relationship with children in general.

But I also remember a movie called Shutter Island about a man that invents another persona because wanted to avoid the guilt and shame of the reality of his life: that his wife killed their children, and in turn -- when he came home and found what she had done, he killed her.  The man lived in the belief that he was a marshall on the hunt for his wife's killer.

Okay, I can't believe I'm writing this -- and I'm going to further develop this theory later on but for now just want to say that THERESA90's post got me thinking: she's makes some great points.  [though I have never loved the split personality plot -- Jane could be something like "A Beautiful Mind" schizophrenic/sociopath -- a brilliant man who shuts himself off from his killer side]

For all these years, RJ knows about Jane but Jane doesn't know about RJ -- but RJ wants "acceptance" by Jane -- meaning that RJ side of Jane has been trying to emerge for years, but Jane doesn't want to see this side of himself.  So, Jane had to kill RJ -- but since it's himself that he can't see -- he had to "project" this onto someone.  McAllister

So, I listened to conversation Jane had with McAllister right before Malibu. McAllister, in Napa, was about to shoot a deer from his car until his phone rings.  Jane is calling him.

"This is Sheriff McAllister"
"Sheriff, [it's] Patrick Jane."
"Hello Patrick, how are things?"
"Good, good. I'm calling because I had a question"
"Shoot"
"Last month when I was in Napa, you said you were at my disposal"
"Yes, I remember"
"Did you mean what you said?"
"I like to think I'm a man of my word"
"Oh, I don't doubt it"
"But can I count on you for your help. Can I count on you?"
"Of course"
"Thursday night at 8 o'clock, I'll need your help.
"Then you got it."
"Thank you. I'll let you know where to be day of"
"Patrick, this is about Red John, isn't it?"

Whole conversation is a double entendre...and it's all to McAllister's detriment!  Here we are suspecting McAllister and he's the damn prey!!

1)  McAllister was a "man of his word"  -- Jane knew he could use him if he needed to
2)  Jane asked for "his help" and McAllister helped Jane to set the stage in his Malibu house
3)  McAllister said "Shoot" and Jane shot him
4)  Jane tells McAllister you're "at my disposal" -- Disposal means=to get rid of something. Jane disposed of him

YES, Jane could COUNT ON McAllister, indeed!  Jane was counting on McAllister to be RJ for him!!  And it worked.  Jane won, for the moment.

The McAllister in the church wasn't the same as the McAllister in the car: one was under the influence of Jane's hypnosis -- of JANE TELLING HIM THAT HE IS RED JOHN.  McAllister played a part.  He was a STOOL PIGEON!  Pigeon is a great clue...but not because Jane used McAllister's bird fear against him -- BUT because everyone on the LIST was in danger of being RJ's "stool pigeons"

Ruskin family Ferris Wheel == Roy Tagliaferro

I wonder who worked on/rode on/got stuck on the Ruskin family Ferris Wheel?

LISBON:  I didn't know your wife was from this world, too?

JANE:      Oh, yeah, her grandparents were Carnie royalty.  They ran big metal, ferris wheels, ghost trains.  They ran them all across the midwest...

Ferris Wheel was designed by George Washington Gale Ferris  -- and Ferris is pronounced same as "Ferrus," which coincidentally means IRON because the Ferris Wheel is made of IRON

FERRIS WHEEL IS CUT IRON

For someone was afraid of heights, a FERRIS WHEEL wouldn't be a fun ride

SORRY -- BUT I HAD TO POST THIS TWICE

There's been a lot of talk about Alex Jane and the Barlows, but what about the Ruskins?  PJ'S BACKGROUND CONNECTION TO RJ via the carnival may be through his wife's family:

RUSKIN:  means red haired; derived from words Rose and Royce  "ROY"  [is this just to further symbolize that red hair loving ROY killed Angela Ruskin -- or it is further commentary on the Ruskin family background]

LISBON:  I didn't know your wife was from this world, too?

JANE:      Oh, yeah, her grandparents were Carnie royalty.  They ran big metal, ferris wheels, ghost trains.  They ran them all across the midwest...

INTERESTING:  Because the Ferris Wheel was named by the man who designed it, George Washington Gale Ferris  -- YET Ferris is pronounced same as "Ferrus," coincidentally as FERRUS=IRON and the Ferris Wheel is made of IRON

Yes, a FERRIS WHEEL IS CUT IRON [now a lot of things are made from iron, which is made into steel, like the hull of ships, automobiles and variance appliances and such, but still thought this was worth mentioning]

And, if someone was afraid of heights, a FERRIS WHEEL wouldn't be a fun ride to go on [I personally hate them]

In episode -- "THROWING FIRE"

Jane gets dizzy, has flashbacks to when he and his dad sit atop the Ferris wheel as Patrick looks down at people below and guesses their life stories -- this was the episode where we see memory of how Jane's father wanted him to scam the little girl with cancer

FERRIS WHEEL symbolizes circle of life but also that one is going nowhere, going in circles to nowhere -- Jane on the Ferris Wheel with his dad symbolic of his life going nowhere, a life of looking down upon people...

Jane gets girl's mother to buy crystal ball, giving his father money without scamming the little girl by giving her false hope.  Father goes off to play POKER with cash.

RJ has to have connection to Jane's past somehow -- with RJ knowing of Jane more than vice versa, and it seems unlikely that all this information about the carnival past would be touched on and never revisited?  With the carnival having traveled all over the midwest and west...Jane must have conned a lot of people when he was with his dad.

So, with this "New Beginning" -- how will the series end?  A Jibson wedding?  LOL  Yeah, that's not happening.

Here's the extent of your "new show"

New office
New town
New tea cup

THAT'S IT...

RED JOHN'S VOICE on Teresa's phone "Sorry Patrick, Teresa can't come to the phone right now..."

WAS NOT MCALLISTER

Are we reallly supposed to buy this ridiculous fairy voice that McAllister puts on as "proof" of being RJ?

Comparing the two voices, they are TOTALLY different.

RED JOHN who painted blood on Teresa's face sounded like Partridge exactly.  I'm not saying he's RJ, and I'm against that as an outcome -- but he may have been used by RJ.

1) Partridge to Jane: "Something wrong?  You've been really sullen with me recently and now your staring at me strangely, and I don't know why?"  Jane:  "You truly don't know?"  Partridge: "No."   I BELIEVE HIM.

2) McAllister to Jane:  "You got it wrong.  I'm not Red John."  I BELIEVE HIM, TOO!

Something stinks...

Sorry to go back to RED, but a while back, I notice that amongst RJ's victims, which included male, female, young, old, blonde, brunette, grey, redheaded men...but NEVER redheaded women [please correct me if I'm wrong]....

which is why I think that our master puppeteer [known as RJ] is either:

1) a MAN WHO LOVES REDHEADS, or
2) a REDHEADED WOMAN

RJ doesn't kill redheaded ladies, they're special.
